tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I understand the intent, but saying "all future M/W/F comics" does make it sound like every dinosaur comic that will be written already has been. which has worrying implications! 000
tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 25/09/2026this is unbelievably fast progress! aside from you being a much, much better programmer than I, are there things that make this not take as long as I guessed it would? 000
tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 22/09/2026...I'm sure it's totally fine that I've been hearing about p-zombies a lot more lately 010
tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 10/09/2026funniest option would be samus being able to turn into a raven, or a ball, or a composition of the two, but the operations are not commutative 101

tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 18/08/2026"Perl has horrors, but it also has some great redeeming features. In this respect it is like every other programming language ever created." I like this sentiment. It's true for people, too! 030
tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 14/08/2026also curious about what would happen if you did "[player] -> [> player]"... would that shift it over a character? a word? and what if you allowed for regex?? "[*] -> [player]" would be... interesting hmm what about a layers system for the code. so certain characters could be on top of others 120
tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 13/08/2026would be bad but very funny to use the puzzlescript syntax for find/replace 151

tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 12/06/2026oh for sure! it sucks to not be able to make a lot of things! or even anything! I've just been so mean to myself about my creative output for so long, which hasn't helped (and has hurt). teaching myself to be fine with it is better than the alternative, even if I'm not actually happy about it 110
tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 12/06/2026it's helped to remind myself that not being creative isn't a moral failing. creative output is not necessary for a good life. it puts less pressure on me, so I can enjoy making things when I'm in the mood instead of being so focused on quality. and when I'm not up for it I don't feel quite as guilty 110

tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 06/06/2026I get the point you're making, and think it's fair. however: a book divided up into .txt files, each encoded more elaborately than the last, with decoding dependent on the story so far, would be very fun 130

tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 03/06/2026oooh... I wonder if you're thinking of a way to make a keyboard where twisting the cube is what creates keypresses... that feels like it would be nightmarish to make. even if it's a key on each face sticker of a rubik's cube I can't imagine how you'd get it to not tangle inside somewhere. 120
tess @tessishere.bsky.social · 02/06/2026hmm... I think that's broadly true, since you do need mastery to get to the final level (cannot be seen otherwise) and end the run (which is kept track of by the game and displayed for the player, though isn't rewarded). however, accessing the rest of (ie the majority of!) the game takes no mastery. 000
