I am not exaggerating when I say that the Ray Hwang show up at Tempest rn ruined my life. He won. He won it all. Time to pack it in, folks.

I’ve been watching Himeka Murai work with hot glue for nearly half a decade and every time she surprises me.

I wrote a review of Scott Sueme’s solo at Uprise Art, who created an entire body of work based off this single poem. “Field in The Wind” doesn’t seem to be anywhere on the internet which means you and I have secret knowledge.

Honorable mention of Leo Mocks work at the Anton Kern window show. Pissed they aren’t closer to the street because I know they’re hiding secrets.

I love Damien Dings curation at d.d.d.d but his paintings at Island Gallery really fucked me up. So beautiful and weird.

Had a mad fan girl moment being in the presence of Ida Applebroogs work at Ronald Feldman Gallery. Funny and sad.

Still waiting to find out if “another bookshelf” (a ny based artist residency with a free studio) would solve all of this.

Wonderful and weird stuff happening at the Wave Hill artist residency in the Bronx.

I tell people this all the time. When you have artist block, don’t go look at art, go listen to artists talk about their work. It’s the medicine!

I’m going to start reading my paper weights like I read tarot. This spread says: “the future is uncertain, but within that uncertainty is room for wonder and choice.”

Frieze! Matthew Lutz-Kinoy, Chioma Ebinama, Anne Hardy, and an artist I forgot to take a photo of the name plate for. 🌸🌷👏

The studio continues to be terrible which really means something big and beautiful is coming. “The bigger the space, the bigger the space acorn” as my alien overlord always says.

I’ve been feeling really down and shy lately. I think it’s a natural time to feel like that. So I’ve been drawing more butterflies in the meantime. This one also seems a bit shy.

Hello, CDMX Art Week! I’m kind of overwhelmed to be included in this group show with so many absolute stars at MAIA Contemporary!

Okay, what if I did a butterfly series and instead of you laughing at me, you actually super loved it a lot.

“Butterfly Craft” 9 x 12 inch. Eraser drawing. Over the holidays, I kept dreaming about butterflies. Giant ones with white sparkling wings. But whenever I drew them they never seemed right. Here was the first attempt.

I’ve been working on some drawings for a “California Landscape” show debuting in February but all of my memories are so fuzzy from growing up there. Wetlands, Bear River, Folsom Lake, Dunes. I’m a little worried no one will recognize my California.
