We should, and it is galling that there is no way that will happen DoJ (and presidency) have new leadership. At least one thing this entire nightmare has highlighted is our critical need for court reform and a method to swiftly address harm-inducing actions - not let this shit drag on for years.

ICE is using warehouse detention facilities in violaiton of court orders, & a contractor confirms that Stephen Miller explicitly wanted detention facilities to be cruel and inhumane, not comfortable - for the sake of deterent social media optics. As AI has become more wide-spread, *author* scams have really been on the upswing, because AI has made it easy to customize a scam pitch to a specific author's work. This pod convo with Rob Bignell illustrates a number of scams authors should be on the lookout for. (I've encountered these too.)

I love that the good & groundbreaking things the Black Panthers did are finally being highlighted and held up as models of political and social action--in mainstream political settings! (Finally!). One major thing Trump’s regime and its supporters may seek is to use ICE to instigate civil unrest before the midterms. They want the optics of chaos and minorities tearing up the streets so they can cast themselves as the “good white law-and-order” side. Be wary and don't get used by the regime.
