the weather's finally getting worse! it's been non-stop summer for 5 moths. actual worst drought & warmest weather i ever experienced where i live it's kinda awesome, always having 20+ C, but it's very concerning to have NO rain whatsoever

what went wrong, guys? does season 2 have a different director, is the studio having money troubles, did another earthquake hit Tokyo?

010

あんに @tentacleshark.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

it's been over a year since watched season 1, but i don't recall the animation being of *this* poor quality and the pacing is glacial. like this entire season is stalling for time. that's usually a sign that the show has run out of material, and run its course overall... depressing

damn, season 2 is not very good so far :( double dodged that bullet

started playing Yugioh The Sacred Cards, one of the GBA games. it's fun! :D kinda disappointed flip effects were removed, but that does mix up the strategy. and it gives some cards different abilities. it's a really cool version of the basic card game.

hmmm some of the GBA/NDS Castlevania games i suppose, especially Harmony of Dissonance. i should replay that one tho. i have such fond memories of it. still haven't finished Symphony of the Night, haha. i keep trying to play it and then get distracted. just doesn't pull me in for some reason.

been meaning to make a list of games i consider masterpieces, and also genuinely enjoy playing off the top of my head: - Ring Fit Adventure - Pokemon Colosseum - Shin Megami Tensei 3 - Pokemon Red/Blue ...that's it. that's all i can think of.

あんに @tentacleshark.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Ring Fit's also the only Nintendo game that made me feel that adventurous Nintendo spirit again Something i've not experienced since Windwaker i always sit down and watch the credits after every playthrough, and feel pleasantly nostalgic about my fitness adventures

010

あんに @tentacleshark.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

closest i can think of the top of my head that get to gaming perfection, maybe Furi and Antonblast? straightforward gameplay, really distinct style, feel as close to professionalism as possible and that soundtrack.

the few good ones i can think of always have an asterisk of "great for an indie game" Hollow Knight, Slay the Spire, Dust An Elysian Tale, heck, i'll even give Undertale some credit... great for amateur made games, but none of them i'd call a gaming masterpiece
