Having a man like Sonny as the hero/ lead of the show no longer makes sense- he’s long past expiration, but unfortunately the majority of people who watch this show believe what the tv tells them- the tv says Sonny is good so they nod along and agree , and anyone who says otherwise is the enemy 🤷‍♂️

I just found this awesome Soap Opera Digest article of Maura talking about her first ten years on #GH, which I had seemed to have missed in 2023. I love hearing Maura's thoughts on Ava's storylines! www.soapoperadigest.com/content/ghs-...

GH’s Maura West Reflects On Her Decade In Port Charles

On May 8, 2013, Maura West made her GH debut as an art dealer nursing a whopper of a secret: She was the daughter of late mob boss Victor Jerome and the daughter of the not-so-dead Julian Jerome. Dige...

It's the complete opposite for me. My first side ends up soggy and under toasted; the other side burned.

What is the point of this stupid writing? The writing sucks across the board on this show. It's like they want to tank #GH.

Sonny is being an ass to everyone now. But he's so good and wholesome (that's sarcasm). #GH

That baby would be 25 now in soap years, but I'll always think of Carly as pregnant with the love of her life's baby. Her soul mate and True North. The G-Man! Anyway, 16 years later, and I've decided Carly had a baby boy. youtu.be/bOA1RCKxh2g?...

I could care less for this teen scene. All of them. They all are so boring. But this is #GH. And I'm not just saying this because I wish they'd soras Avery. Maybe it's a good thing she's not in this boring bunch.

They had Yacht Rock Dance week on DWTS this week. My favorite dance pairing, Amber Glenn and Pasha, had a compass projected on the dance floor!!!! Not only my favorite dance, it was GORGEOUS, but a compass, too, which will always remind me of my CarJack! True North! #ATWT #MauraWest #GH #DWTS

As I've said before, I HATE this storyline. However, I'm glad that Ava hasn't seemed to forget how to be a mobstress; it's like the old her is still in there. I just wish she would have gotten back her old self by being forced back into the mob bcuz of an art heist or something. Not this! #GH

There were so many amazing episodes that Carly and Jack had in 2010. This one was definitely in the top 3! I can still quote it from memory. Maura and Michael Park were magical as CarJack. CarJack was one of the last, great, true soap supercouples. #ATWT #MauraWest #GH youtu.be/KQED4sGGINE?...

Three months ago almost to the day we had those magical Ava and Ethan storage room scenes, ON MY BIRTHDAY, and I was incredibly excited for them!!! Not long after that, that terrible recast appeared, and it went to hell for Ava. And that recast was still better than this BS for Ava now! #GH

She's not supposed to be part of a supercouple. As soon as a non-pet starts a romantic pairing that clicks with viewers, it's destroyed with alacrity. It's the #GH successful business model that none of us understand.

I'm so thankful that Maura is getting more airtime and more episodes for this year. However, I HATE this storyline. With #GH, though, you just gotta be thankful she's getting anything. As many years as Ava has barely been filler and backburner. Maura only got 75 episodes last year.

Just imagine what Maura could do on #GH if they allowed her to? Gave her a chance! I know she could have another incredible fictional supercouple pairing again. The build-up in the short amount of time with Ava and Nathan Dean's Ethan. The potential!!!!

The way he always caressed her cheek... and the way that she moved her jaw with where his hand was just at, anticipating that almost kiss! I don't know if it was in the scene directions, but it it was their attention to detail. These little nuances. So CarJack, so MP & MW! youtu.be/JLQSjZmaSCY?...

I wish Ava and Ric never really stopped sleeping together. Like they could still be broken up, but still have lovers to enemies, enemies to lovers thing. It would be way more interesting than Ric put in this dumb possible Elizabeth and Dante triangle, and it would work with RH's schedule. #GH

Last week's #GH highlighted the show's long, long, *long*-running problem with sloppy writing for a character who has absolutely aged out of the role he's supposed to be playing. My latest for Diagnosis Daytime pleads for change: diagnosisdaytime.blogspot.com/2026/09/crit...

Yuri backgammons; Carly corrects; Charlotte argues; Jordan smirks; Chase thinks; Valentin counsels; Hudson bores us; Willow wonders; Desmond wants to go home

On FB, there was this person saying Carly Tenney wasn't a good person. Wow, they really wouldn't like Ava Jerome or honestly any soap opera character in this day and age. If you are measuring fictional characters by morals, maybe the conservative/Hallmark movie characters are more your style. #GH

Bridges were New York’s emblems before the skyline came to define the city. In Queensborough Bridge (1913), Hopper turned steel into a horizon as he studied how infrastructure shapes urban feeling.
