What frustrates me about our car culture is that it’s not humble or self-aware at all. It’s not “I need this tool for a task but I recognize the danger it poses to others”. It’s “oh you think speed limits should be enforced? fuck you”.

Why do you think someone is wrong, and with what? The US imports a lot of oil from Canada which is processed at refineries in several states. They will scale way back and jobs will be lost if they can’t get Canada’s oil. And what will the industries that bought those refined products do?

Send a message to the Prime Minister to stop Canadian involvement in this aggression toward Greenland here: www.sierraclub.ca/action-item/... The Canadian Government must not allow our PORTS to play a role in helping the U.S. force oil exploration and drilling onto #Greenland. #CDNpoli #Trump #oil
Canadian corporations are facilitating oil exploration and drilling by a U.S. firm in Greenland – without approval by Greenland’s government.

The Canadian Government must not allow Canadian corporations and Canadian ports to play a role in helping the U.S. and U.S. corporations force oil exploration and drilling onto Greenland. But a “Greenland Energy representative has said a vessel carrying its 300 shipping containers of drilling equipment is to set sail from Canada on 12 September [2026]” from the Port of Valleyfield in Quebec.
Send a message to Prime Minister Mark Carney, Energy, Transport, Foreign Affairs, and Environment Ministers, and Opposition Leaders via the form letter on the page opposing Canadian involvement.
