From 14 to 62 seats! 🥳 Yesterday, Volt won 62 seats in local elections across Lower Saxony, according to the preliminary results. This is an increase of 48 (!) compared to the last election. 🎉 (1/3)
Volt-branded graphic on a light purple background. A banner at the top reads "🤩 Lower-Saxony:" above a very large number 62 and the words "SEATS FOR VOLT". Below, a simple bar chart with a green arrow curving steeply upward from a short bar labelled "14 seats" and "2021" to a tall bar labelled "62 seats" and "2026", the taller bar containing a map of Germany with Lower Saxony highlighted in purple. The Volt logo sits in the top right corner.

I just use the app password to login instead of the new way through OAuth that got added. kept getting disconnected since the last update but using the app password is stable. I do hope they fix the OAuth login though.

There is no need to be rude. People have moved to Librewolf or Waterfox sure, and that was also partly because of the concerning changes to the TOS a while ago. Adding AI in their changelogs doesn't mean it's on by default, to my knowledge you always got the option to not enable them.

in what way were you ever forced to use one of the new AI features in firefox, other than a popup asking if you wanted to ? and for AI, read this reply from a firefox dev : www.reddit.com/ofdtxkq

It always was opt-in and translation always used "AI", even before it started getting called that.

Tenc @tenc1235.bsky.social · 27/05/2026
basically, before you had the choice between not using AI but seeing the UI elements for it, or using it, and now there's an extra option that turns off the UI too

Tenc @tenc1235.bsky.social · 27/05/2026
Wait... correct me if I'm wrong, but from my understanding it was always opt-in ? what they added is the option to remove any buttons/popups asking if you want to turn it on, but the features were turned off by default before and the local models were not downloaded until you agreed to use them ?

🚨 NEW POLL: Volt Cyprus grows to over 7%! 🚀 Last week, Volt's 56 candidates were successfully registered across all districts of Cyprus. Now, we are already polling at over 7%, competing for 4th place. 🇨🇾⚡ (1/2)
Square social media graphic with a purple header and footer with torn-paper edge effects and a white textured background. The CyprusMail (Founded 1945) logo appears at the top. A headline highlighted in yellow reads "Volt joins race for fourth place," followed in black text by "Edek and Dipa make gains, according to poll." A group photo shows approximately 20–25 people standing together outdoors in front of a stone building, dressed in smart-casual attire. A red "BREAKING NEWS" banner overlays the bottom of the photo. Below, body text reads: "Pan-European party Volt has joined the pack of parties vying for fourth place in polling ahead of this month's parliamentary election [...] on 7.2 per cent of the vote." I guess most people just stop at the title of articles, which are generally "[big %] of new music uploaded on Deezer is AI" without realising that Deezer actively detects it, labels it clearly, and bans it from all recommendations.

Tenc @tenc1235.bsky.social · 22/04/2026
Qobuz actually also allows you to buy music DRM-free like on Bandcamp. So I definitely think they're the best pick out of any streaming services. they also focus heavily on human editorial recommendations instead of algorithms. but I can definitely understand wanting to own all media yourself.

randomly decided to look up what people are saying about Deezer here, looks like everyone is misunderstanding their communication and assuming they're some pro-AI platform, when they (alongside Qobuz and Bandcamp) are the most anti AI music platforms.

I am currently using Deezer, but I do have issues with their ownership (French HQ, but a lot of its ownership is from the USA and Saudi Arabia). Heavily considering moving to Qobuz at some point, especially since they pay artists the most compared to other streaming services.

Tenc @tenc1235.bsky.social · 22/04/2026
I think you aren't understanding the article correctly. Deezer is able to communicate that % because they created an Al detection algorithm and are using it to remove all Al music from recommendations. So I would say they're handling Al quite well (definitely much better than Spotify)
