Tarquin: Means sleeper, in Old Tevene. 'Not a mage? Sorry for your shit hand. Now you get to die in the endless war against the Qunari.' All the men in my family are military. My father, well, he made it clear that if I wanted to live as a man, I'd have to be a soldier.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:o6mdimex77gpkbccau44cdwl/bafkreif5uv44oy5xqrcxyxsr4lww4jlkzmksuswa5macczev3qns5a64u4)
![[Two comic panels, low lit by candlelight. The first is of a paper with written words, some of which have been crossed out, the page reads:]
Ashur,

Suppose it’s only fair you know
-Look, Ashur, it’s just -
-Don’t know how to say this, really, but-
I know it doesn’t mean anything, not with you being who you are and all, but
-Ashur, I love-
-f uck-
[The second panel shows Tarquin sitting at a desk, his head in his hands, putting the paper to flame using the reading candles nearby.]](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:ximjmo75eru3islcqqsumb2x/bafkreigzf7rdoumhjipxehxodobsh3v5fnbqjnvke6eijwskfkqvx3tpiy)
