ok i think i finally pushed it too hard today… but critical repair to stop a roof leak is done! and sealed up before the storm! —and i made pretzl rolls! and pulled chicken! (on my “rest” breaks… 😬) but now i need to go clean up and my feet and ankles hurt so much i can hardly stand… oops… 😬😬😬

Thursday’s project: remove old (torn up?!?) flashing and replace, prep shingles, add corner flashing. Tomorrow: replace rotted fascia board and (probably Saturday before it rains??🙏) reshingle.

How I spent my Wednesday: gutter, guarded. 😎😁 I’m not super delightled with how this stuff gets installed (seems like begging for ice dams?!?) and it’s ugly but we couldn’t afford the pretty white stuff and this is *shiny* and was literally 10 times cheaper so… cheesy aluminum it is!! 😄

I have a lot of medical writing experience related to cancer, so if you need help “interpreting” information, test result language, jargon, etc, I’m ya girl 😊 My personal sorta-cancer experience has also been “good” so far, as these things go. Followup is a bit of a drag but whatever yanno ❤️

The soonest they can get here is the end of the week…. Of course. AND — heating oil is over $5.50 a gallon — and as much as $6.20 a gallon at some places!!!! so unless we get a mini split we are going to be COLD AS FUCK this winter
