The new Supergirl movie is such a better movie than Superman (2025). Between Supergirl and Lanterns, the new DCU may yet be off to a good start. Superman has some good bits no doubt, but it was mostly hot garbage. Sorry, not sorry.

I'm borrowing my kid's room for a bit while they are away at school to finally organize my comic collection properly. Lots of boarding, bagging and sorting in my future.

13 piles of comics and graphic novels on a bed. On the floor in front there are 7 long boxes and 2 short boxes filled with comics, graphic novels, omnibuses and trade paperbacks.

Massive shoutout to the team at the Comic Shoppe in Ottawa. I bought what they told me was all 1st printings of the Dark Knight Returns. Two of them were actually 3rd printings. I went back which wasn't cheap in Ubers and they let me trade up (no charge) for the original Transformers series. Amazing

The four issue run of The Dark Knight Returns from the 1980s. Four comics depicting an aging Batman, Robin and Superman in a post mainstream DC era.

The 4 issue limited comic series of Transformers from the 1980s. The covers show Optimus Prime, Megatron and Spider-Man.

There was a store called Poor Yorick in Stratford, Ontario before the DVD boom. It was full of indie, eccentric, art house, animation, obcurities and so much more. I ordered personal copies of El Mariachi, Watership Down, H, etc on VHS. The store is long gone, but I'm still friends with the owner.

Getting a garden tour of the farm at Restaurant Pearl Morissette at Jordan Station near Niagara on the Lake. Here our guide Emily is showing us a habanda pepper which is a habernero pepper with no heat but all the juicy and fruity flavour. Of course tasting was a part of the tour.

We ate at the best restaurant in Canada today, Pearl Morissette at Jordan Station near Niagara on the Lake. It is one of only two restaurants in Canada with two Michelin stars and has a green Michelin star for its outstanding sustainability practices. It is a farm & winery. Farm to table. 13 courses

The Aero cable car at Niagara Falls is a must do. One the highlights is crossing the border 4 times without going through customs or getting detained by ICE.
