Said to lurk in the vast Gobi Desert, the Mongolian Death Worm is a cryptid beast with a terrifying tale.

Sightings dating back to the 1940s claim that the Death Worm is a two foot long creature that burrows under the desert. It does so with such force that its movements can be tracked by the visible waves in the sand above ground.

Drawn to moisture, it is said to mainly emerge after rainfall. The slightest touch can cause instant fatalities either due to an insanely potent and corrosive venom, or a naturally generated electric charge.

What would easily just be a bit of folklore has risen to new heights as reports of sightings, dead livestock attributed to it, and even supposed encounters with the devil have been a persistent thing since the mid-to-early 1800s...

A cryptid from Southeastern Austrailia's Aboriginal culture, the Yara Ma Yha Who is a vampiric creature said to resemble a frog-man with a huge head, massive mouth, and no teeth.

It is said to live in Fig Trees, and lurks in wait for travelers to let their guards down - at which point it will pounce on them. It will use the suckers on its fingers and toes to suck the victim's blood, before swallowing them whole.

After swallowing its prey, it will drink water and then nap. Upon waking up, it will vomit forth the victim and flee. The victim will now be shorter and their skill will have taken on a slight reddish tint.

Legend says that if a person should fall victim repeatidly, they will continue to shrink and turn redder as they are turned into a Yara Ma Yha Who.

So, history lesson for you folks - way back in the days of Tumblr, I had a different blue character I used for dirty pics. Her design was pretty basic and kind of boring, so she ended up being replaced (or evolved into maybe?) Octavia.

Originally Octavia did not live in a fantastical different world, and was a cryptid style creature who emerged from the ocean depths and got into horny hijinks. Her design is close to the current look, but with a few significant differences.

She would later end up with a human room-mate/friend with benefits (proto-Monica who might have had a different name). I never got much time to draw the pair, so their story just kind of festered and evolved in my head.

The idea was that proto-Monica heard a weird noise outside her apartment and found Octavia splashing about in the building's swimming pool after hours. The big blue naked gal (with a prominent dong) took a shine to the the meek gal, and they would end up forming a friendship.

The plan was for them to eventually live together and Monica would introduce Octavia to the ways of the human world, and Octavia being a free spirit without our cultural hang ups would help the nerdy gal open up (socially and sexually).

Eventually Monica would fall in love proper with her friend, and that would turn into them being a proper couple.

...

Of course this never took shape outside my noodle, so when I started creating the world of the current project - I revised the pair for the fantastical world and they got hitched!

All in all, I am much happier with how they are now.

A couple of seafolk (for lack of a better name) having a conversation.

Seafolk are born with both sets of genitals. They are not assigned a gender at birth, but rather choose their own once they have come of age. (Some decide not to pick one, that is normal.)

So yeah, that guy there has a vagina.

Also - they don't normally wear clothes. Jewelry is common, but their bodies are able to the temperatures of the water with no issue.

They also are born with a second pair of eyes higher on their heads that aid in their seeing while swimming around. This gives them an increased field of vision and spacial awareness.

You'll also notice that most of them have some sort of patterning on their bodies. This is not an absolute, as many do not have these spots/stripes - but it is fairly common.
