Fun story from today, I pulled my tricep on the literal first rep of my session with the trainer today and instead of being like “oh hey, that smarts. Maybe I should take it easy a bit today.” I said it’s fine, pushed through like normal and now I am regretting my words and deeds. I am old y’all.

Haha I actually bounced off W3 way back because of the combat so was hesitant to try Dawnwalker but their combat system just sort of clicked for me and I ended up really enjoying it. Now I’m excited for the W3 remaster to give it another go lol.

Haha yeah man so for me I got into Dawnwalker and was just blown away and that was my frontrunner but then Onimusha was such a surprise and they have been sort of battling in my head. So far Control though is rapidly climbing but I am still earlier in the story to really start weighing it I think.

I am having a hell of a time in my own brain trying to sort my top game picks for the year man. This one kind of snuck up on me for just how good it ended up being and how much I got into it. What a ride.

Small correction friends. I forgot to add the diced potatoes into the app version of the recipe when transferring from my handwritten one so the macros are actually a tad more.

Haha bit of both! I was tracking stuff as I added it so I can share the ingredient list for sure. I’ll most likely be including this one in the second cook book zine too. I parboiled the potatoes in the stock and then just dumped that all into my larger pot. Cooked the chicken then added that too.

I still really like these old weird doodles. I find it fun to write little blurbs and things when I draw characters though they don't always get shared along with the art. Maybe I should move forward in expressing the full breadth of the weirdos I draw haha

This will probably get deleted because but anyways it was a semi casual/semi dress function and a loose theme that I did not really understand so I went for an old fall back of dressing like I am on a vacation but could solve a murder should I need to 🫠

The weirdest part was nothing tasted dry haha. The chicken was still moist and tender and the gravy bits were flavorful just a bit too thick. I’m sure next go will be better haha.

Just kind of winged it honestly. Ended up using 2 cups stock to 1 cup milk liquid and added in a blond roux I let cool in the fridge. I think I would probably add a bit more liquid next time just so it’s got a bit more “gravy” to it. I think the lack of water from no veg inside I didn’t account for.

First time trying to make a chicken pot pie. Not the prettiest but tasted good. Veggies were on the side as requested or else there would have been a load of peas and carrots in here 😅

True but Wolverine has a lot more money behind it and a major publisher and platform in PS. I think with how quality their work is a lot of folks tend to forget Remedy is independent.

From what I know/have heard from friends and devs (and I of course am no expert) it's just an additional cost to resources that are better spent wrapping the game proper. It's a bummer though as to me a fun photo mode can almost work as additional free marketing at and post launch.

Not that I'm aware other than "post launch" I assume it'll be a similar situation to the first Control.

Ah bummer, the staggered release is tough but I understand it.

My heart aches for no photo mode in Resonant at launch but still having a great time with the game in the early doors.

Lol true but even still as I was trying to say games aren’t only narrative so saying that because it wasn’t just a retelling of a certain game’s story that it was bad or whatever is dumb to me because it instead chose to focus on adapting the feeling and tone of playing the game.
