The weekend reading starts here as I delve into the outrageous exploits of one Dr. Edward Drax Free, a Rector of Sutton in Bedfordshire whose antics of immorality, neglect and drunkenness would lead unsurprisingly to his deprivation in the year 1830. #TeeReads 📚

It was a pleasure to journey to the historic village of Luddenden in West Yorkshire on Wednesday evening to meet with the lovely history folk and chat scandal at the baptismal font, sleuthing a cruel bigamist and unearthing a heartbreaking mystery found with a burial register. #StillSleuthing 🔍

Standing like a colossus outside New Zealand's National Stadium is the tribute to the father of All Black Rugby Dave Gallaher. Born in Ireland in 1873 and one of the first settlers to New Zealand, Gallaher would die from his wounds during the Battle of Passchendaele in 1917. He rests in Belgium.
