Schools should provide a way of bringing together children from different backgrounds and tackling prejudice and hatred of the ‘other’ . The UK school system however does not facilitate this and needs to be reformed

Net zero is a no brainer. Local pollution is massively reduced, energy security is improved, and fossil fuels are clearly responsible for climate change ( despite deniers ignoring the evidence). But it does have to be introduced in a way that is not threatening to personal livelihoods

Trump says climate change is a hoax. Few people will challenge him though it is the most serious threat that all of us face. The science has been validated by thousands of scientists over 40 years. The first prime minister to accept it was Margaret Thatcher- she had a science background.
