Yesterday Gov. Newsom signed a package of youth online safety bills we're proud to have fought for, including the Kids Code 2.0, which we co-sponsored, and Adam's Law. Big Tech lobbyists spent years trying to stop these bills. They lost; California families won.

Meta also ran an internal study of 260,000 users called the BEEF survey (Bad Encounters and Experiences Framework). Finding: a substantial number of people had bad experiences on the platform and kept coming back anyway. Bejar oversaw the research; Meta buried it.
