it‘s funny there’s a scene in ng3 where a military commander is portrayed as wrong for meta-textually telling ryu that action games no longer have a place in the “next gen of consoles“ but ng3 betrays that message by favoring AAA design trends over its arcade roots anyways.

same thing for injustice 2 starfire. maybe it’s bc she was such a game-killing menace but imo that was her ideal semi-realistic rendition, so it’s odd you’ll never see her in any nsfw 3d animation ever.

how convenient to remind yourselves of the bad-faith bottom of the barrel strawmen of the anti-censorship crowd with forced-doxxing laws looming just around the corner. i know what you are.

the sleeper hit of last season. i had some problems w its writing, contrived “drama for drama’s sake” & rushed developments, even tho it was decent for the most part. but the last 3 eps (esp ep 18) floored me. it’s def what yoko kamio had in mind when writing this anime.

one of the best thriller animes BUT it fumbles the entire 3rd act (eps 8-12). it’s not just the ending. exposition took priority over meaningful plot points & concluded w a “greater good” message contrary to the moral ambiguity of the first 7 eps. still good, love the villain.

SPOILER s1's highest point imo is hei & misaki's date. due to circumstances, they're pitted against each other. but in ep23, the anime shows a glimpse of how they might've been like if things were different, & that there's a silent desire shared by them & us to see that world.

some pathetic goober accuse me of being a delusional grummz fan for pointing out that ppl generally (esp leftists) DO hate lewd/nsfw art to the point of validating censorship. & then they were like "if that's true, explain why hazbin hotel is so popular then?" never try to gaslight me again mfer.

text:
"I thought this was going to be a review of my time with Santa Ragione’s Horses, the controversial art game recently banned from Steam and the Epic Store. To some extent, this will be that but after playing the game I think the game itself is maybe not too interesting when compared to the situation surrounding it.

which is to say that a game about pressures of authoritarianism is fine but watching forces outside of the right align with captial and champion the decision to ban it from storefronts is perhaps even more telling than anything in the game. nominally lefitist gamers or vaguely progressive academics have found ways to decide that this game is simply something that should be dismissed. in doing so they align with the forces of mass capital and censorship, painting a picture of How This So Of Thing Is Allowed To Happen."

they're already propagandizing to paint an imaginary divide between the two camps so they can revise the history of anti-censorship neglect in their favor. it tells me they don't, which is ironic bc ive seen the "anime tiddy games" side talk abt Horses lots.

headsfalloff: "i am going completely insane watching gamers make up shit about horses and interrogating every single thing the devs have said for inconsistencies and then deciding well it probably had cp in it. this is the easy mode version of the kinds of censorship that are to come and you're failing like babies"

Toxoplasmosis ghandi: "Gamers when a female character isn’t a big titty smooth skinned abomination with the face of an anime child: CENSORSHIP

Gamers when an art game is pulled from storefronts because of right wing lobbying: eh. Probably deserved it."
