I decided to start with Linux Mint Cinnamon as a Windows 7 Replacement for now on this Dell Precision 4GB is not that bad wait until I upgrade to 16GB of DDR3 or if I can get 32 GB of DDR3 then then real retro gaming begins and I can play Indie games on this computer.

My Windows 7 Dream machine failed should of bought it when it had Windows 7 in it :( IDK if I will put Linux Mint on it or not I want something Retro on that computer that works Activation codes seem to be hard to find for Retro Operating Systems on Windows x-x

I got the best Dell Precision possible it has a Windows 7 Pro Re:Activation key I stupidly installed Windows 7 Home on the Dell and it works but is for the wrong product. Good news is it claims it's valid for Windows 7 Pro so I got a better deal than what I could hope for going for a second time.

I'm installing stuff on Artix Linux like a pro reading the manuals in how to configure things. I'm not going anywhere near Windows 11 sorry when I get my Dell I am converting it into like Windows 7 or something and running Linux as my main Operating System.

Dude Artix Linux looks like it's an Operating System from the future and I'm not kidding. I'm running Brave Browser as my default browser and have Helium Browser as a secondary Browser and using Floorp Browser for multitasking and research.

Ventoy is a tool almost better than Rufus that will let you flash multiple ISOS on a single flash drive just by dragging and dropping them into your flash drive. No need to flash one ISO at a time give Ventoy a try you can test multiple Operating Systems this way.

Helium Browser is all the Anti-AI Browser you need if you can handle using an unGoogled Chromium browser baked with uBlock Origin works just as good as Brave Browser.

If Linux doesn't work out I'm going completely Retro entirely and indefinitely. You can stay on older versions of Windows but please harden your security as much as possible. No Operating System is perfect comes into mind so use what floats your boat.

FINALLY Got Artix Linux up and running after quite a few times it's basically Arch Linux without systemd. I already managed to even put Steam on it and using Equibop as well this Distro is super lightweight on resources too.

I did some research on the Dell Precision T1700 MT that I just bought and it looks like I can enhance the computer. I can do more than just Retro gaming and emulating 2000s this thing is a gold mine in disguise I can even upgrade the motherboard holy hell.
