I feel personally attacked by this age group selector
Screengrab of an age group selector from the Praktika website. The oldest group available is "Age: 45+" and is illustrated with an image of a grey-haired woman with glasses

Why do schools love sending information to parents as PDF attachments? Just put it in a plain text email so I can search it and read it on my mobile! I don't care how it looks, I just want to know when my daughter needs to bring her PE kit in

Call me cynical but this feels like a marketing play. It positions the tech as extremely powerful while also pricing in any future lack of progress

I've been here - not with images but with technical SEO. Client followed ChatGPT advice and ended up getting in a tangle. Doubt started to creep in so they turned to a human (me) to unpick it all

Great example of misheard song lyrics: my daughter thinks the song Shallow Grave by @themountaingoats.bsky.social is about (the actor Timothee) Chalamet Chalamet, out in the middle of things Chalamet, go get a bucket of chicken wings

There's a line from Dostoevsky that a couple of Russians quoted to me when I lived there: "Pain and suffering are always inevitable for a large intelligence and a deep heart." The people you are talking about aren't choosing narrow-mindedness so much as avoiding discomfort.

I'm quite enjoying Schroedinger's Burnham. His cost of living policies apparently involve a) so little money that they will make no difference and b) so much money that they will bankrupt us all

Sorry David, I just meant it is something that you've built a genuinely useful tool. I get the same entitled attitude in comments on my blog posts sometimes ("tell me how to do XYZ...") so I know what's it like. I'd still rather have those comments than no comments at all

Not excusing their behaviour, but I guess they want it fixed ASAP because the tool is genuinely useful to them. That's something, right?

Me neither! Though I don't think I have any clients with 100K followers on any one social channel - which I'd heard was the threshold. I have quite a few in the 20-50K range.

During my first *decade* of life, the town where I currently live had one single day where the temperature hit 30°C. This year, it has already had 10 days at 30° or more - and we're only in June.

Maybe it's just the hot weather, but this Meta setup option seems confusing. Have I toggled automatic advanced matching on or off? Don't show me an 'on' toggle with the word 'off' alongside!
The option to 'Grow your audience size', as part of the 'Connect Your Google Tag Manager Account to Meta'. A toggle with the label "turn off automatic advanced matching" is turned on

Open world games would be better if they contained less stuff everywhere. Tripping over something significant every 30 seconds reduces the thrill of discovery. I still remember discovering the turtle in The Faery Tale Adventure (1987). What do I remember discovering in Skyrim?

The key metric is the number of Furiouses per Fast, which you will note is the same for both movies. Unintuitively, 1 Fast 2 Furiouses would have been the superior sequel.
