This is AMAZING, it does exactly what it says it does. The only thing missing for me is multiple select :)

Yeah that's also a great analogy!

Then after driving an automatic for awhile, it's hard to go back to a stick because I got lazy. I'm noticing cases where I didn't review the code as closely as I should have and let things through that don't make sense for the app and maybe I should go back to "manually switching gears".

I'm starting to feel like coding with AI is like switching from a stick shift to an automatic transmission (I learned to drive on a stick). At first, I didn't like an automatic because I was used to having full control.

Got a little can fridge for my new office and I love it!
A Black Frigidaire 6-can fridge on a shelf, on the front center there's a red can sticker with the text "Ship" and "Laravel".

In the background there's a 3D printed Lego flower planter.

Last night I started to work on sunnyhome.app Routine feature in the Kiosk. Flux's Kanban components is going to make this super simple🎉
A view of a family kiosk with "Calendar", "Routines", "Chores", "Lists", and "Meals" on the left sidebar and in the main panel, there is a heading of "Routines" with a Kanban board with "Morning", "Maintenance" headings and tasks underneath them.

@tillythecoder.com and I are starting a podcast, Make Ship Happen. Our first episode will stream on YouTube tomorrow at 4 PM UK / 11 AM Chicago. But first, we need your help deciding on a logo! Comment with 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣4️⃣ to vote for your favorite:
Four images with the same text: Make Ship Happen, the podcast with Tilly and Andy. The first has a boat bracketed by < >. The second is a circular political button vibe with a star at the top, and a boat in water with a mouse icon to the right. The third is a fun vibe, with rounded text, a paper rocket-ship is in the top left with bracket trails. The fourth is more clean with the text to the left and a MSH wordmark to the right

I’ve always been Diet Coke or bust kind of person, but recently this stinking monster has been making more of an appearance… tbd if it’s a good or bad thing.

Laravel tip: stop reaching for env() outside config files. Once you run config:cache, env() returns null and things break in ways that look random. Read from config(), let config files read from env. One habit, fewer 3am mysteries. #laravel #php

Yesterday I had the privilege of playing at the Chicago’s Symphony Center (where CSO plays). I’ve been in band almost continuously since 5th grade, but never thought I would be able to play at such a prestigious venue!

Over the weekend, I printed this snap-together case. It holds my HRT, daily meds, and rescue migraine meds.
A 3D printed case on a wood coffee table. The print has a large compartment across the top that stores my syringes, and the bottom section is divided into three. The left section has three cylindrical holes for testosterone. The middle section takes up 75% of the bottom section. It's for storing alcohol wipes, but also conveniently holds my daily med case. The last section is small and holds some of my rescue meds.A 3D print on a wood coffee table. It is the lid and snaps for the case in the previous image.

Yeah! More and more of my friends are not on social media regularly, so I want to send them updates and hopefully have it spark conversations or connection but also texting a ton of people individually is kind of a pain 😅 Maybe email is better for this, but I hate email.

I’ve used proton for a year, and I really like them. Though one thing that is worth noting that might be a make/break is if you use Apple Calendar or Apple Mail it’s a bit cumbersome to get working, to the point where I gave up and just use the web client on desktop and their apps on my iPhone.
