@thesdev correct. To be fair, #1 isn't that hard to achieve for a few days for a company the size of meta so the real proof will come with time, but it seems popular already

The new Apple Watch features Audio Intelligence: it constantly listens, transcribes & analyzes everything around itself, including on Apple's servers. Here's what that means for privacy Nebula: nebula.tv/videos/techaltar-the-alwa… YouTube: youtu.be/GyxYEYsNUn4

My best guess is that Submerged is "home page content", meaning it gets broadly promoted and placed on the home page of many people who have no concept of the channel yet and therefore are likely to scroll over it. It's something YouTube is trying to push to a generalist audience who will always […]

You know how YouTube recently inflated viewcounts massively by starting to count ever single frame played as an active view? Like all YouTubers I know, I've been trying to wrap my head around what the "real" views on my videos are comapred to what they used to be. The […] [Original post on mas.to]

The least exciting thing about the iPhone Duo is it's weight (and a little bit it's thickness). 254g is as heavy as the Fold 5 was. I had that phone and the weight was the most annoying thing about it. Compared to the Fold 8 (see image) it feels like it's in a different class

Overall Duo thoughts from a Foldable user! + Many interesting software ideas, like the side dock + I think they said the foldable screen has glass on the outside & is scratch resistant?? + IP68 + Under-display camera looks cool + Price is not as bad as I feared - I personally think it looks ugly

TechAltar @techaltar.mas.to.ap.brid.gy · 09/09/2026

Pixel layout over the under-display camera. Looks like they prioritized camera performance, not Screen quality

TechAltar @techaltar.mas.to.ap.brid.gy · 09/09/2026

Apple claims nano-textured glass on the foldable screen which should have some amount of scratch resistance and minimal crease. Really wanna see if true

They claim they have re-worked their whole sensing stacks which include readings once every 5 secs, which is 60 times more frequent than before (though still 5x less than a Pixel watch IIRC)
