No fights are the wrong fight to pick. Pick every fight. Fight these fascist fuckers every time about everything. Fight them even when they aren't fighting. If they run away, chase them and keep fighting them until they beg to stop and then fight even harder.

Sometimes self-government just means elections. And sometimes it means recognizing the deeper dignity and meaning of what it means to be a people. That means speaking up, standing out, and protesting. We can only be free together. snyder.substack.com/p/the-logic-...

One finds avatars of the Queen of Owls everywhere. They are so ubiquitous it seems reasonable to believe that all the tellings of her grand wisdom, of her seeing all secrets, might just come from the eyes of all her carved ambassadors. – #CLNolan

Someone asked me to "keep the weird stuff coming" art history-wise, so here's one of my absolutely favorite, insanely bonkers artworks of all time: Cats Singing Conducted by an Owl, c. 1700 painting by unidentified Lombard artist (thanks to @jessemlocker.bsky.social for bringing it to my attention)
A painting of one of the weirdest concerts you'll ever see. A group of cats is singing (or screeching?), apparently conducted by an owl. One cat wears spectacles; others play instruments. One cat, at center, turns the page of a book in which musical notes are indicated by mice. A strange demon-like creature at upper right looks to play a trumpet from its butt. If you don't love this painting you're irredeemable
