Aion 2 is probably the best thing to release in the MMO space in a long, long time. Really enjoying the game so far! Also very much shows off what Unreal Engine 5 is currently capable of for this type of gameplay.

Scheduling an emergency dental appt this week, ig. Tooth that I knew had a cavity just got realllllllllllllly bad, being told by some friends that have had lots of dental issues that it's probably an urgent deal :/ Thankfully I have dental coverage, but ugh, not looking forward to this.

I've been seeing more Temu ads on YouTube again so let me just remind everybody that you should absolutely not buy from Temu

Besides the obvious terrible practices that have to go into making things cost so little, and the mostly poor (sometimes, dangerously poor) quality of the products, there have been multiple cases of people's credit card being compromised after making a purchase from Temu. They cannot be trusted with your financial information.

Idk I think it's cooler to give people some time to discover certain things in new games for themselves, and experience the joy of it—as is intended—before you post it. Especially if you have any kind of privileged access. I am thoughtful about what I share outside of stream for this exact reason.

I saw the question of "Why make music when there's already an overabundance of it?" and at first I was like "yeah good question" but then it took me like 2 seconds to realize that that question focuses only on the creation of music for the purposes of consumption and implies that the creation itself has no value outside of that

Which is very much not the case if you ask me. Creating art is extremely valuable regardless of whether anyone sees what you create or not. There's never going to be too much art in the world.

Hot take but Arrival (2016) is one of the coolest fucking scifi/drama movies to ever exist and has one fo the most unique and well crafted soundtracks to exist in modern cinema. I watch it at least once a year, changed my viewpoint on a lot of how we interact as a whole

Ended up making a new Twitch overlay as I planned. Starting a new era and finishing my rebrand post-separating from my ex. Probably will get some content planned over the next while as I can, no timeline but *eventually* :3

Screencap of my new Twitch stream overlay. It mimic's a 90's basement aesthetic, with an exposed brick and wood paneling wall on the right side by my test chat messages. The bottom is a teal shag carpet texture, and the top is a rusty metallic texture.

Had an interesting convo point yesterday with a Discord community member in a large server I mod in, slightly (positive) jarring ngl? Was asked if I was one of the people post US living in the UK. Not a bad thought train but also, yeah it *would* be nice given most of my safety network is there.

Also found an early iZ3D polarized 3D monitor from wayyyyy back, the person just gave it to me because she wanted it to go to someone who knew what they had and would actually use it in full. She even had the original passive glasses for it, also in pristine shape!
