Getting tired of untested vibecoded ports that are just buggy and because no experienced coders are around, they can't fix it? Never fear, as I have listed decomps and recomps done by actual people and it will continue expanding! If you know any, lemme know!

You can't get this high level a gaming experience anywhere else

I'm gonna play some Sonic the Hedgehog Forever

Team Forever @teamforever.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

That's the best way I think. Do a restoration for the love of it, and we'll see if we can pick it up with your permission.

Team Forever @teamforever.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Have you done this kind of thing before? Can we see your work?

011

Team Forever @teamforever.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

That's a very interesting offer. What would your methodology look like?

Team Forever @teamforever.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

As far as I can tell the JP version does the same. Once the music starts you don't hear any chains. Maybe we can add it to both with some clever editing. Thanks for the feedback.

Fun Fact: Sonic CD Infinite, in its current state unpacked and ready to play, still fits on a CD-ROM.

Blizzard just announced World of Warcraft Forever. I'm pretending that this breaks our copyright on "<game> Forever" and I'm asking for the lawyers Ken Penders used as he famously won an infringement case that looked dubious on the surface.

The possibilities offered by exploration, adventure, and curiosity. The potential to save the planet and conquer time. The fun! All of it is of course... youtu.be/-MIyOVgHcgQ

It's the same RSDK. The DLC is just controlled by a flag.

130

Team Forever @teamforever.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

The Origins RSDK isn't going to work with the project at all. It's compressed differently and missing stuff like music.

Never forget that non-binary icon Popeye the Sailor invented the drop dash in 1937. The best to ever do it.

The distorted flowers above water annoyed me so much haha

Team Forever @teamforever.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

The flowers are actually dynamic, distorted only when in the water. I'm really proud of this #sonic #sonicCD

Sonic 2 Absolute isn't available for mobile. I don't know where you got that but we can't help you.

150

Team Forever @teamforever.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

Well the answer to that is it's had less work. The next major update we're gonna redesign the main menu completely.

Team Forever @teamforever.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

But yes. S2A has not had the time spent on it that S1F has.

How does it differ from this conversation? In their defence (because some of them are my friends) they couldn't see the sprite. They were pressing jump and getting zero feedback. Easy assumption to make. They didn't know they were pressed against a ceiling haha

Team Forever @teamforever.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

I remember that. We put it in because speed runners were complaining about missing inputs trying to jump under pillars in the oil in Oil Ocean Zone 🤣🤣🤣 We're looking to get things across to the new engine soon. I'll see what I can do about that in the process 😉
