iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

No idea where it's from, but it must have been from a stressful time several years ago. I found this on one of my drives I'm scrounging through and yeah, this is has been the mood lately, lmfao

I don’t have quote posts and replies enabled on my feed(I’m a very manual person). It is actually funny going through my follows to check who might be a hp art sellout feels like doing a spy check. -waves around wrench- It’s all about making myself feel safe.

Okay so its not just me. I thought I was going crazy the past few days like "wait....didnt i just block a julie!?"

010

Oh no…there’s ANOTHER wolf cop!?

Sweet! Knocked out 2 commissions today, we're on a roll. Going to eat, work on a personal project and finish the evening with some model kit stuff...

I totally forgot Rebelle has a timelapse recording feature...That could be fun

Okay I've got this art posting process lockdown now. I'm happy with how things are setup and besides some nit picky tweaks I think I'm good to go.

There is no one size fits all for Linux and that is because at the end of the day it is your system to fit your needs and wants. It is a lot to cover, but I hope you can have an enjoyable experience and again feel free to reach out if you want to discuss it further.

010

It is a hefty transition to make and plan especially, but I've seen the evolution of Linux over the years and it's gotten easier. What I can't stress enough is that you take your time, be okay with and embrace/enjoy that you're learning something new, and don't be afraid to ask questions.

The third point really delves into what kind of approach you want to have. Each distribution has their own philosophy of sorts and the level of (initial) control can vary drastically. I typically recommend Mint for most beginners, but for gamers I've heard good things of Bazzite.

120

That first point is often a make or break for some people, because specific workflows and software may not carry over. So you may need to look for equivalent alternatives if wine/bottles can't help. The 2nd is something to be mindful of, while things have improved Nvidia cards can be irritating.

I use Gentoo for my daily driver and Debian for my HTPC at the moment. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have...Otherwise starter tips: -Take an inventory of software you feel is essential. -Make a note of your hardware specifications. -Think of how much control you want to have.

I kind of hate that I saw this when looking at your page because my brain is like "oh i love this topic! I can talk ages about this" lol...but I agree with you entirely and to me it gets exceedingly easy when you break down the concept of a gun to "throw damage inflicting projectile toward target"

I think it's amusing 3 of my favourite activities all have a cute glove you can use for them. Art, Bowling, and Archery

I am glad to see more stores forbid people bringing their pets(not service animals) into grocery stores. It was really getting out of hand and gross for awhile.

I never know what to put in there, but profile banner seems fitting for the month. Wish I could add alt text to it though.

Leads aren’t working out so I’ll be dedicating more hours to freelancing while I search around. Will also open commissions next week while I catch up and finish a handful in my backlog.

Leechware bots and Leechware users will be blocked on sight. This is not a safe space for you.

When I rant about accessibility issues, it’s usually not aimed at the indie scale. Though I do feel communities(like artists) can do better and it’s more an educational/resource thing, but corporate and government entities SHOULD know better and that is where most of my irritation originates from.

080

Decided I want to split the first entry to website building into 2 parts for easier digestion and pacing. The first is an introduction, the 2nd will be getting a foundation setup. Hopefully have that all done next week.

I brought up the focal point weirdness with AtProto, because it is not a hard thing to address. I often navigate the web with a keyboard and it helps me see see elements better. Putting the the effort into inclusive designs doesn't have to be difficult or take much time at all. #Accessibility

I’m remembering my favorite interaction with a friend who was a Harry Potter fan looking for something else. I explained the (brutal and comedic) lore behind the colleges of magic in Warhammer and they’ve never looked back, but also now has shelves of Skaven replacing all their HP collections.

FA is a space that while I have not used for a very long time, I still recognize as a significant creative space. I'm not in a position to help much, but least I can do is help spread the post in case people who can and want to support FA may not see it otherwise.

0102

Like...this feels silly to me lol. there are several focusable areas in this weird little spot. They should not only be visually hidden, but programmatically hidden too...wtf Like if you want to see for yourself what I mean, refresh your page and tab through. The focus and order is weird.

Oh thats...interesting. So Mastodon actually has not 1, but 2 block skips for keyboard navigation which is nice. Bluesky(unsurprisingly) has no block skips and when navigating with tab throws your focus into weird visually hidden places lol

A bonus for this Friday and then I'm gonna take a nap I guess. I love making frybread and this has been a piece I really love still. #Art #Imps tealfuleyes.com/artwork/illu...

Going to test something...

VPN so strong it wont let me access my own NAS...lol

0100

Realized tutorial template for my website on mobile is missing the navigation. Will fix that soon when I publish a couple of art pieces.

I enjoy creating tutorials and documentation. So I hope that whether it’s the arts, Linux, or whatever else someone finds it helpful or at least a decent reference.

090

Yeah so I will probably have to also start looking for a new home this year too, so that’s a great added layer of stress On top of everything else. Apologies for any inconveniences and the way slower turnarounds as I deal with all of this stuff, I appreciate your patience and patronage.

Have to do some further adjustments, but I have things setup to help me backfill art to my site and lay it out as intended. I still really love this sketch for example… #Art #Sketch #Imps tealfuleyes.com/artwork/sket...

Adding Godot to my system manually by placing it in /opt and making a shortcut. Figured I'd make a tutorial out of it and also doodled my squirrel fursona as a warmup before running errands today. Might be helpful for new #Linux users. I do this quite a lot for a few applications.
