Creature — Elemental Elk
Whenever this creature enters or attacks, create a green and white Elemental creature token with “This token’s power and toughness are each equal to the number of creatures you control.”
It is spring incarnate, its gentle warmth chasing away the last of winter’s bite.

Magic Card of the Day: Snapdax, Apex of the Hunt Look mutate is great. It’s a weird mechanic that lets you make odd little stacks of copiable values. As we know that a partial return to Ikoria is coming in 2027, it’s possible mutate will return as well, which might give Snapdax some new toys! #mtg

Legendary Creature — Dinosaur Cat Nightmare
Mutate {2}{B/R}{W}{W} (If you cast this spell for its mutate cost, put it over or under target non-Human creature you own. They mutate into the creature on top plus all abilities from under it.)
Double strike
Whenever this creature mutates, it deals 4 damage to target creature or planeswalker an opponent controls and you gain 4 life.

Magic Card of the Day: Divert Blue used to rule changing targets but it really has ceded that space to red. Redirect Lightning is much better than this but leaving up a single blue to punish a player for overextending with a spell still feels great. It’s about the humiliation of being short 2 #mtg

Magic Card of the Day: Captured by the Consulate I’m usually able to understand the underlying design ideas for cards but this one is bizarre. A strange combination of half a pacifism and a flag bearer? Im not sure I see a use for this? Maybe there is a strategy using demonstrate? #mtg
