Magic Card of the Day: Hatut Zeraze Strike Force Witch Enchanter demonstrates the value of a disenchant on a body ( as well as the option of a land), this also demonstrates 4 isn’t too much if you do it twice or three times. With a cheap enough commander you could make 4 2/2s in a pinch! #mtg

I don’t think any Jace Fan would suggest Jace makes good choices, but it’s clear from the narrative that Jace was always going to do a heel turn. The tragedy of Jace is that his solutions are trying to save the world via domination rather than community. You cannot save something by controlling it.

Magic Card of the Day: Gargos, Vicious Watcher Look I love X spell soup as much as the next guy but I really appreciate the alternate angles this mono green commander provides. It’s also an interesting political tool, folks can target it as a deal to remove a 3rd party creature! #mtg
Gargos, Vicious Watcher

Legendary Creature — Hydra
Vigilance
Hydra spells you cast cost {4} less to cast.
Whenever a creature you control becomes the target of a spell, Gargos fights up to one target creature you don’t control.

Magic Card of the Day: Light Up The Stage Making a spectacle is incredibly easy so the rate on this card particularly alluring. Combined with cast from exile synergies, imagine the value! Come one, come all! See feats of spell casting so efficient you will think one spent no mana at all! #mtg

I’m gonna say it now, you are allowed to not like Star Trek Discovery/Academy but rather than being concerned about broken cannon (which honestly is mostly not actually breaking cannon, just evolution of cannon) I’d ask folks to be more curious than angry.

Magic Card of the Day: Thespian’s Stage It’s difficult to untangle cards them from their most famous combo. On the face of it this land just transforms into the best land on the table to be used in the future. A fun design to play with, but compared to a 20/20 the effect is small potatoes. #mtg

{T}: Add {C}.
{2}, {T}: This land becomes a copy of target land, except it has this ability.
“All the world’s a stage,” said the Doctor. “Hmm. I might use that.” pondered Shakespeare.

Magic Card of the Day: Dazzling Theater/Prop Room Split cards are an incredible part of Magic design, from the original Invasion block, to the Fuse Spells, to this most recent iteration, Rooms. They often are a pun but rooms mechanically rhyme instead, great effects that synergize together! #mtg

(You may cast either half. That door unlocks on the battlefield. As a sorcery, you may pay the mana cost of a locked door to unlock it.)
Prop Room

Magic Card of the Day: Costume Closet Counter strategies don’t really function without ways to regularly generate counters. This both generates counters and ensures they aren’t lost when creatures leave the battlefield. You have to make sure your cast is well dressed before the combat step! #mtg
Costume Closet
{1}{W}
Artifact
This artifact enters with two +1/+1 counters on it.
{T}: Move a +1/+1 counter from this artifact onto target creature you control. Activate only as a sorcery.
