Here’s the most incredible story you’ll read today. A small plane with four people aboard crashes in a field. Another pilot witnesses it. That pilot happens to be flying a bunch of skydivers. They offer to jump to assist, are given permission. The skydivers happen to be EMTs. Everyone survives.

Jeff Bezos and I are very different people. For one thing, he is a sociopathic billionaire who built his fortune by monopolizing bookselling while I am a penniless author of books. He was born in 1964 and is 62; I was born in 1971 and am 55.
A mason jar of piss with Jeff Bezos's laughing head submerged in it.

Here's a theory. You can't tell me what you believe for the same reason Talarico can't. You know the old arguments don't make any sense so you don't say them. You madly struggle towards some reasonable middle ground that doesn't exist. So like Talarico, all you can do is lie.

Here's an article detailing everything I've been talking about in Oz. Affirming care, rush to put kids on drugs etc. If you want to know how nuts this industry is explore these Maple House folk. They're absolutely nuts

Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
🙄 So, why do you think it's a good idea to delay a child's puberty and put them on cross sex hormones because they think they were born in the wrong body? I think that's bad because life changing decisions like that shouldn't be made by ten year olds

The former judge is angry the Vic government dismissed "an official complaint alleging that the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) failed to meet its legal obligations during a 2024 gender-treatment case."

Judge was highly critical of RCH and noted that they offered little to gender confused kids that didn't involve medical intervention.

You could read Barnes book or you could google gender confirming counselling. I mean it's not a secret or a conspiracy. Google it and you will find many people/experts who unashamedly advocate this approach

Puberty blockers and surgery weren't happening in the 90's. In an ideal world we'd have a scene like the 80s where a boy could wear a dress do makeup whatever but medical transition wasn't an option.
100
Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
As for pushing it on kids...I guess that's a matter of perspective. Gender affirming counselling means that the child has ALREADY diagnosed themselves and your job is to support them in that decision
100
Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
Nah. It's the crux of the issue. It's a bad idea to permanently effect someone's life based on the person they thought they were when they were ten
300
Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
Google "gender affirming counselling". Clinics like RCH believe that Dr's should affirm/support children who say they were born in the wrong sex rather than question that belief. It's a complete reversal of standard psych practice, but common in US,UK,Oz gender clinics

Your statement is non sequitur ish. I was talking about Rupert's insights. Do you think Rupert's anecdote illustrates the dangers of childhood transition and if not why not?
200
Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
So how can a psychologist know what person you will become? How can they tell if a child's outlook would drastically change if they were to experience their natural puberty rather that have it artificially blocked? I believe it's obvious they can't. That's clairvoyancy, not psychiatry
100
Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
To understand this issue you need, to a degree, to rely on your own common sense. Most adults who have ever been children understand that when they were ten, the things they believed and the person they thought they were, was very different to the person they became

A person following a similar trajectory today may realise they are gay,not female, all too late. I imagine being a gay man and no longer having a penis is probably quite confronting
100
Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
Rupert fears if he was ten now, he probably would have been convinced he was a woman, gone on puberty blockers/cross sex hormones and ultimately surgical transition. But thankfully for him, back in his day people didn't spout such nonsense. When he turned 15 he realised he was a gay man, not a woman
200
Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
Did you read the interview? When Rupert was ten he thought he was a woman and occasionally dressed as such. A lot of boys who become same sex attracted have similar experiences.

The approach to childhood gender transition championed by Tavistock is near identical to the Australian (and American) process. There is no equivalent book about Australia

One of the Dr's is a gay man horrified that some staff don't understand that the behaviour they see in these kids is common in sexual exploration ie. behaviour that often leads to an individual realising they are gay, not trans (but they never get the chance to realise thanks to puberty blockers)

Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
Lol. It's a well researched book concerning Britain's Tavistock clinic. She interviews medical staff from the clinic (staff are named) that describe its many failings, including the fear that same sex attracted young people are mistakenly being identified as trans.

Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
🙄 Yes I have. Hannah Barnes' book is a meticulously researched account of how child transition works and also explores the revelations uncovered in the Cass report (you could google and download the book or the report)

The insanity of encouraging trans identity in children seems so obvious to me that I struggle to understand how anyone can support it. Rupert Everett discusses the obvious risks in this decade old article. I honestly can't understand how someone could read this and still support child transition

Again, Hannah Barnes' book is an excellent introduction to these issues
100
Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
It's bizarre but can easily be verified: there are many Dr's who are trans advocates that believe young children who declare they are a sex other than their birth should be supported, rather than discouraged, in that belief
200
Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
Because I'm familiar with the beliefs of the RCH. They really believe trans children, very young children, do exist. Knowing how nuts most people think that is, they are hardly forthcoming in how they detect the real ones. "Does your little girl want short hair? Does she like Joe Rogan?" Who can say

Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 14/09/2026
The only sane discussion to have with a parent who thinks their 3 yr old was born in the wrong body, is one that explains they're wrong and encourages their child to just be who they are and not worry if their likes/dislikes are more popular with the opposite sex
100
Feebly Inhibited @teadaddyo.bsky.social · 13/09/2026
? What do you want to know? In Melbourne Australia, parents like myself can take their son's to the Royal Children's Hospital to discuss how their 3 yr old was born into the wrong body because their personality clashes with male sex stereotypes. That's a bad idea.

This strategy is incoherent. Should Talarico supporters celebrate him for lying? Vote Talarico, he's a liar but one of the good ones! Transitioning minors is no longer popular. It's going to stay unpopular because most people now realise that it's morally indefensible
