Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 18/03/2025I broke a lot of promises to myself when I became a mother because there was a lot of things I didn't understand, but I've stood resolute that I will never get ~~the haircut~~. You'll catch me being lowered in the grave with my hands locked rigor mortis around a pair of scissors before that happens. 050
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 18/03/2025I'm well known enough that I have haters, which I guess is inevitable and that's fine, but it does bother me that the haters can't even have original insults. I hear the same three or four on rotation. I was just hoping for a bit more verve and creativity. 030
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 09/03/2025I always think it's funny when people tell me to "touch grass." Like, okay, tell me the last time YOU ran through a trailer park while being chased by a pack of ten dogs. 030
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 07/03/2025Sometimes in that moment right before I drop off to sleep I'll visualize an entire person and their life story. I can see them with vivid clarity in the center of my eye. I think, "Who is this person? I have to know them!" Then the excitement wakes me, and they disappear forever. 151

We're doing things the likes of which you've never seen. Come hang out with us!" And then surprise, it's just another weird sex party. 130

Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 28/02/2025Hello. My name is Autumn Christian and I'm an author. My last book was called Girl Like a Bomb and it was published by @clashbooks.bsky.social. I'm repped by Michael Mungiello at Inkwell Literary Management. Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 28/02/2025Never be friends with someone who shares drama, posts screenshots & private DMs, and tries to smear people in public for what should be private disagreements. They delight in betrayal. 030
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 25/02/2025A complete lack of humor is one of the best signs to determine whether or not someone has been hijacked by a mind virus. 010
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 25/02/2025Calling me a Nazi is actually an insult to real Nazis. To be a Nazi you once had to have real seething hatred, a record of murder, a history of subjugation, and a willingness to destroy everything for the party. Now I throw out *one* Sig Heil at a child's birthday party and all of a sudden... 110
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 25/02/2025The child's work is play, and when you watch a child play you realize just how committed they are to becoming a human being. They are constantly moving, interacting, emoting, learning. Always absorbing. They never sit still. 010
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 25/02/2025Blocked. Not interacting with someone who unfriended me on all platforms and then comes over to be negative on my profile. 000
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 24/02/2025The word "Nazi" really has lost all meaning, hasn't it? I do like Wagner and I think I'd look pretty hot in Hugo Boss. Does that qualify me? Okay, I *did* drive a Volkswagen in my 20s, but it was a P.T. Cruiser, for God's sake! I'm innocent, I swear! 120
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 24/02/2025Imagine hating me when I'm just doing my little hot girl walks in the sunlight, drinking green tea, playing "hair salon" with my daughter, starting a business with my husband of ten years, writing my little stories, in love with being alive. 020
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 23/02/2025Few understand the struggle of trying to beat a boss in Path of Exile 2 while a toddler is squirming around in your lap. 110
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 22/02/2025The reward for doing good work is almost always more work. If this sounds horrible to you, maybe reconsider what you're dedicating your time to. 010
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 22/02/2025But I first heard about this idea when I read Freud... "der Nabel des Traums" or "Navel of the dream." There's always something in the dream that has a contact point with the unknown that defies any interpretation. I like that one before it's more eldritch horror-y. 010
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 22/02/2025Similar to the first of Godel's incompleteness theorems states that there is always something within a closed system that the system itself can’t fully resolve or prove. 000
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 21/02/2025The moment that you base your entire identity upon a singular ideology, you're intellectually compromised. At some point you'll have to be dishonest with yourself to maintain cohesion. Allow yourself to be flexible in your thoughts or you'll doom yourself to becoming dumb. 222
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 17/02/2025I assume Meta is a lot more user friendly. Second Life is pretty complex with all its scripts. Also tends to be clunky and unoptimized and lag like crazy. 000
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 17/02/2025Every advance in AI has been followed by people reassuring themselves "AI can't do X, Y, Z," only for AI to then blow past that boundary. It may be time to acknowledge that AI will become sentient at some point, with spirit and will. Then we can figure out how to act accordingly. 010

Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 16/02/2025I wrote this novel about the demiurge almost 15 years ago - in basements and little rooms I rented out above garages, in houses full of burners and no heating, in cramped little coffee shops, in the back of my car while sitting in a H-E-B - and it still sells more and more copies every year. 230
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 16/02/2025I like to write when I'm a little bit hungry. I've noticed if I stop to eat then my motivation plummets. 000

Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 14/02/2025If you give up everything for your art, at some point your art will have nothing to say about anything except itself. 031
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 11/02/2025Trying to make yourself happy by demanding that other people change their behavior is always a losing proposition. 030
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 11/02/2025Yes and thankfully this doesn't describe your first sentence. But you're on thin ice! 010
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 10/02/2025I still like a lot of people who can post annoying things. 020
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 10/02/2025I don't know how to explain this, but I can always tell a book is going to be bad if the first sentence has a third-person POV and a dependent participial phrase. 100
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 02/02/2025"I couldn't enjoy the view. I wish the sun had bones so I could break them." 010
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 02/02/2025Sometimes I think that reality has to operate on a kind of artistic refined sensibility but then I learn things like Karl Marx wrote poetry about signing a deal with the devil or Ted Bundy worked at a suicide hotline and I realize that the truth doesn't care about subtlety. 010
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 02/02/2025This doesn't just affect their body. It affects their art too, because even stories must follow physical laws in order to be effective. 010
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 02/02/2025Maybe for the first time in their life they see that they have to properly manipulate reality in order to see results. It forces them out of the realm of the fantastical and into the practical. The universe isn't random. It has a logical order and rewards those who understand its sequence. 110
Autumn Christian @teachrobotslove.bsky.social · 02/02/2025When a writer or an artist starts to lift weights and work for the first time, it's a profound perspective-changing event. They often become obsessed. It's all they can talk about, and it rapidly changes their idea of reality even if they can't articulate it. 140
