Teaching for Change joined many nonprofit and community partners to the D.C. Mayor condemning support of the federal invasion into D.C. We demand that political leaders stand with the people and against fascism. #FreeDC always ❤️
Blue graphic with white text that reads: Teaching for Change signed a letter to the D.C. Mayor condemning support of the federal invasion into D.C. We demand that political leaders stand with the people and against fascism. Our Demands to Mayor Bowser: D.C. leaders should not be praising federal intrusion that is terrorizing neighbors. Instead leaders should: 1. Denounce the takeover, 2. Insist on an end to the federal surge 3. Defend residents from abuse by ICE and police, 4. Enforce Sanctuary Values Act.

Join us in celebrating our deputy director, Keesha Ceran, as she marks 4 years with Teaching for Change. 🎉 She has profoundly improved our internal operations and program delivery and continues to bring her incredible expertise and enthusiasm to our work. We are grateful for all that you do!
Text: Happy Workiversary. “In my four years at Teaching for Change, I have been continually blessed with the breadth and depth of the people we cultivate these spaces with and for. There is so much power among us, and it is inspiring — especially in the most disheartening of moments — to know that we are connected to some of the dopest humans in the world. I am grateful to offer my time and talent to strengthening our future. It is really fulfilling to create systems and infrastructure that empower all of us. “ - Keesha Ceran Photo of Keesha Ceran

The Civil Rights Movement is one of the most commonly taught stories about the fight for democracy and equal rights. However, the powerful stories of everyday people organizing and working together for social change are lost in the focus on a few major heroes and dates.
