Hey, I'm Megan! A 'Yorkshire Tea' drinking lass from the mountains of the British Lake District. I break stuff for a living 🖥️🔨🐛 I'm obsessed with adventure, meeting people, riding motorcycles, gaming, restoring rusty tools, finding new hobbies 😎

The Entrance to Andorra from the French side, a common sight for those visiting this little independent principality here in Europe, with the mountains of #Pyrenees surrounding you on all sides. Definitely worth a visit, but turn off your mobile data here! 📵💸🏍️ #roamingcharges #travel #motorcycle

Late night post 🌠 Another shot from one of this years tours. Usually I prefer to tour solo, but this time two friends came along with me as they weren't confident enough to tour themselves. This shot is from the top of Stelvio pass by the Alpengasthof Tibet Hütte. #motorcycle #triumph #tiger #travel
A motorcyclist sat on their white Triumph Tiger adventure motorcycle at the top of a mountain pass, fully kitted out with panniers and top box.

The motorcyclist is overlooking the buildings at the top of Stelvio Pass and off into the mountain summits in the distance

Well, I've survived another trip around the sun, even if a tourist did try to end that trip prematurely in September 🚘💥🏍️🚑🏥😅 I'm looking forward to another year, more adventure, more travel, meeting new people, making new friends, seeing new places, riding more bikes and experiencing new things 🎂❤️🌍
A 360 image taken at the top of the mountain, the content of the image is warped to make it look like a little planet surrounded by blue sky.

In the picture there is a picture of a young woman overlooking the scenery, there is also a round building sticking out the bottom of the little planet, as well as mountains, little winding roads, snowy ground and a cafe terrace filled with benches and tables.

A continuation of my favourite route through the Cottian Alps, this time Strada dell'Assietta (SP173) connecting to Colle delle Finestre (SP172). 34km long and mostly above 2000m, this rough rock and dirt track passes 5 mountain summits between Finestre and Sestriere #motorcycle #travel #adventure
A Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in black and gold, loaded with panniers, green Vango tent roll and other travel bags underneath a net holding them to the rear seat. The bike is parked alongside a dirt track, facing towards a lone evergreen tree. In the distance the dirt track disappears uphill into the cloud clinging around the mountainside.

Anyone else here a winter addict? I know winter isn't everyone's favourite thing, but I love it! I love winter storms, keeping the fire lit, climbing snow & ice covered mountains, inversions, driving through snowy landscapes, gorgeous (and harsh) winter light, snowboarding & blanket snuggling 🌨️❄️🗻🥰
A multi-fuel camping stove lit at the top of a snow and ice covered mountains summit, casting a soft orange glow over the snow, ice and boulders. Attached to the multi-fuel burner is bright red fuel container. There's also a shiny copper-bottomed Eagle camping kettle to the right and to the left of the shot you can see the someone's foot with Crampons on their feet.

Mitty - My first 'big' bike, a Royal Enfield Himalayan 411. This bike took me almost across the entirety of Europe in my first 3 months of riding last year, I'd happily use it to see the whole world, it might not be the quickest, but what it lacks in speed, it sure makes up for in every other way 🥰🌍
A Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle stood on its center stand in front of a sign reading 'Colle dell'Assietta'. The bike is fully kitted out for an adventure, with additional fuel carries attached to the front tank guards, square metal panniers fitted to the rear, a big tent roll across the rear seat and a bat attached to the top of the tent roll.

The picture is taken on a dusty dirt track up a mountain, overlooking mountains on the opposite side of a large valley.A female motorcyclist wearing helmet and sunglasses sat on her bike, turned to face the camera which she is holding for a selfie with her right hand. She has positioned the camera so that it catches her upper body as well as the handlebars and gauges of her bike.

The picture is taken on a wooden bridge crossing a river at the bottom of a Swiss valley with trees and mountains all around.

The bike has a 360 action camera mounted to her handlebars, and there are various cables charging devices.A motorcycle riding through the snow on a very steep mountain pass, visible are the dials and gauges. The snow has drifted in places and the sky looks stormy and threatening. The picture is taken from the riders perspective.A Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 motorcycle equipped for adventure with fuel carriers, panniers, sleeping roll and leather travel bag is stood at 45 degree angle to the camera on a farm track leading through a vast grass mountain pasture in Switzerland overlooking the Alps, in the distance you can see various wooden farm buildings, cabins and chalets sparingly spread over the landscape.

Probably one of the nicest custom motorbikes I've seen since I started riding, I believe it's a custom Triumph T120, spotted it outside a country club near Fontaine-De-Vaucluse in the Vaucluse department of France. Would happily own a bike like this one 🤩😍 #motorcycle #motorbike #custombike #triumph
A custom Triumph T120 motorcycle with light tan-leather seat, bag and gators, bar grips and other leather-toned accessories. The bike has vintage-styled wheels, and the bike is a mixture of black and brushed steel with the triumph logo on the tank. The bike is stood on a courtyard in front of a lightly sandstone coloured wall.A custom Triumph T120 motorcycle with light tan-leather seat, bag and gators, bar grips and other leather-toned accessories. I've just bumped into the 12th Doctor Who on the train back home to the North. Should I be concerned? #impendingdoom #doctorwho #petercapaldi #aliens #north #scottish

Another great shot and another fave route of mine. A biker on his #Triumph Tiger on the road leading away from the North of Col du #Galibier heading to Valloire. I didn't make it to the summit of Galibier this year as they had closed the snow gates early due to snow. #motorcycling #mountains #tour
A biker sat on their Triumph Tiger adventure bike equipped with panniers and adventure tyres. The biker has his helmet off and is parked to the side of a long winding road disappearing into the far distance, the biker is looking off into the far distance where jagged, snow-capped mountains rise high into the sky.

Possibly one of my favourite unsurfaced roads in Italy, located in the Piemonte region, Colle delle Finestre (Strada Provinciale 172). Built in the 1700's to grant access to Forte di Fenestrelle, the road travels up from the town of Susa & gains nearly 1700m of height in 17km. #travel #Italy #Italia
A winding dirt and gravel track full of hairpin bends disappearing away into the far distance down a steep mountain valley where clouds consume the road far below into the precipice. The clouds surrounding the scene make the photo look stormy and moody, the photo has been edited to give it a cool sepia tone whilst increasing the browns, yellows, and oranges within the picture, making the alpine plant life stand out.

Sat on the road and shared tea with these two awesome individuals at the top of Stelvio Pass on my #travels this year. They'd transported their bikes all the way from Abu Dhabi for some European #adventure 😎 We shared some route recommendations, gifts and contact info. Meeting new people is life 🙌🏻❤️🌍
Two friendly, smiling Arabic men from Abu Dhabi (Emiratis) sat down on folding stools at the top of Stelvio pass in Europe. They're sat at the side of their BMW GS motorcycles, sticking their thumb in the air for the photo. In front of them is a little folding table, a decorated red-enamel teapot, a flask, glass cups and other tea making equipment.

Since passing my #motorcycle test in June 2023, I've become completely addicted to the freedom and joy it has given me. Travelling over 25,000 miles in 14 countries, off-road passes and all my bucket-list locations - the best part is all my senses being bombarded. The smells, heat, humidity, wind 🥰
A tiny whitewashed stone-built chapel sat upon an exposed mountain summit surrounded by small alpine trees, in the background you can see the valley fall away below, viewing over a pine covered valley leading to snow-capped Alpine summits in the far distance, with white fluffy clouds high in the sky on a sunny blue-sky day.

Bike season? There's no such thing 🤪 We've had the first snow of the winter over the mountains here in Wasdale today. I know winter riding isn't for everyone, but I love it ❄️❤️ the atmosphere, scenery, colours and light in winter are the best! Here's Nermal, my #yamaha #xsr700 - #motorcycling #winter
A steel-silver Yamaha XSR700 naked, retro-styled motorbike with dark brown canvas vintage panniers and tank bag, the bike is stood on grass rise above a valley in front of snow covered mountains in the background with moody atmospheric clouds over the summits. The picture is styled in cool tones giving the picture a cold and frosty feel.

#firstpost here on BlueSky - I've spent the last few months recovering from a serious motorcycle accident, but figured my first post here should probably be a picture of my adventures before my accident. Looking forward to returning to adventure in 2025 ❤️🥰 #adventure #motorcycle #royalenfield #alps
