Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Also started on some quick, preliminary animations tonight for the player character for this week’s jam 040
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Took a dev break for a few but it’s time to get back to it. These pixels ain’t gonna push themselves 😤 131
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Did you join the jam? It’s my favorite but couldn’t participate this year 😭 So many great looking games that I’ve seen so far 100

Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 10/07/2026I was so happy with the little animations I came up with for this fast little platformer game. It took first place in the most recent Alchemy Jam! tbleazy.itch.io/railed/devlo...tbleazy.itch.io#1 winner in Alchemy Jam!Oh, yeah! We've cooked up a fresh, new update for Railed to celebrate winning first place in Alchemy Jam #9 🏆!!! The game now features a brand new tutorial level, new music tracks by Jackson Cordes... 160
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 10/06/2026Been heads down doing programming for NES Jam the past week and a half and it’s been so different solely focusing on the coding aspect rather than trying to balance both art and coding. I’ve definitely been able to get deeper here than I have with other projects, but I miss pushing all the pixels 😂 142
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 10/05/2026I wish I could relive golden souls and its sequel. They’re both so good! 110
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 08/05/2026That's real. No better test harness than the actual game ya made 'em for 😂 010
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 08/05/2026Loving the extra contrast on the right—it lets the plants have so much character and visual interest! 110
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 08/05/2026How are you testing these btw? Especially thinking about that across Godot upgrades 🥴 100
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 05/05/2026Mario Maker was great! I think a lot about Klik N Play, and that’s worth looking at if you haven’t here. It used an event based system for connecting together different elements 111
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 05/05/2026Nice! I think it’d be interesting to try doing something similar with a more recipe-oriented approach (specific approaches tailored to specific genres, and then you can mix and match them) as opposed to making things really generic like so many engines do. 110
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 05/05/2026It’d be interesting to look across genres to see what kind of behaviors can be extracted that are common across multiples of them. Many games involve movement, for example, but we’re on our own to implement it and deal with edge detection, pathfinding, collisions etc 120
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 05/05/2026“An RTS”? More like “A RTS” but who needs grammar or proofreading on the Internet anyway 😂 010

Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 18/04/2026Love the palette. I’m using something close (maybe even the same!) for a game I’m working on 110
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 14/04/2026Spent the weekend and a little bit of this week so far working on smooth, near pixel perfect zoom in one of my low resolution pixel art games. What a change! Will hopefully get the rest of the kinks out to share something soon. 020

Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 04/04/2026I really liked how some of these little vignettes came out, too. 070
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 04/04/2026This week I experimented with updating my recent jam game to let the player and other entities take in scripted inputs—super useful for making custom in-game animations! #godot #pixelart 0191
Tristan @tbleazy.bsky.social · 01/04/2026It's also time for a little break from jamming and getting back to my regular projects and other adventures in pixel art. I'm so excited to keep pushing forward on more content for Light It Up. 010
