Woke up tearful after nightmares. Realized today is the day I can’t eat all day (it already has me sick 🫠), and tomorrow is the surgery where I am considered high risk for being put under anesthesia due to heart complications/ dysautonomia. Been a decade in a morning.

I’ve put on 25lbs (from 135 to 160lbs) since becoming disabled and unable to exercise. I was quite fit before, so I feel every pound in myriad ways. But sometimes I think about my ancestors and how luxurious it may have been for them to be my shape from lack of hard labor? 🧵

As my ME has evolved from moderate (originally severe 3yrs ago!) to mild (still use a wheelchair etc but I am fine working & engaging w/ friends & family!), I find that my body can tolerate gluten again and HOLY SHIT am I ecstatic about this specific development lolololol

I love women. Scheduling a hysterectomy and coordinating with the women in my life so that I can help a first time postpartum bestie before my surgery happens and also in alignment w/ my sister’s schedule so she is available to help me w/ childcare as I recover afterward. We really are everything.

One of the things I struggle with in dating as a person w/ ME is aligning someone else’s availability to my body’s fleeting capability. My capacity varies so much day to day that if someone isn’t around *often*, they may never see me on a ‘good’ day which = no shared experiences outside the house!
