One last picture from the Kiev 60, Sonnar 180 and Ortho Plus roll. You can see pretty well how the lens and the film behave. #filmphotography

A mini-review of the CZJ Sonnar 180mm. Not quite sure how it does wide open b/c trying to hold it up with WLF didn't work great. Stopped down, it's sharp. Background is smooth, but not the smoothest I've ever seen. One thing, never ever shoot a backlit scene with it. All w/Kiev 60 and Ortho+

Got the test roll back today for the Kiev 60 and 180 Sonnar combo. Didn't have frame issues and the lens is fine after I worked on it. Biggest problem was using the big lens and the WLF. Good thing I got the prism. This is with Ilford Ortho Plus.

Prepped for the #shittycamerachallenge. Kiev 60: Removed from body, unjammed, cleaned, new seals. Arsat C 80mm: Fungus removed from glass. Light leaks at close focus fixed. Sonnar 180mm: Cleaned aperture, removed oil from blades. Removed old helical grease and applied new.

First successful lens CLA. Looks like it's all in order. Got rid of the old grease and fixed the stuck aperture blades. Focuses correctly. So, camera with Volna 3 was $60 and lens was free because seller refunded me and told me to keep the lens.

Kiev 60 for $60 is here. Made in 1996 and in pretty good shape. A little dent. Cleaned some fungus off the mirror, partially disassembled the lens and got it out of there. Glued some leatherette back. This one looks like it has a modified Kiev 88 finder. So, #shittycamerachallenge accepted.
Since Bluesky was down yesterday, put this Kiev 60 in the light box. It has an Arsat C 80mm 2.8 lens. It is chrome and black. I put a little led light in the light box and warmed it up a little bit.

I was going to get on here and say I bought a Kiev 60 for $60 Tuesday, but then I saw #shittycamerachallenge is back. So to answer your question if Pentacon Six mounts are allowed, I offer exhibits A, B, C and D brought to you by my old Pentacon Six, the worst camera I've ever owned.
Picture of a sunrise on Pentacon Six, which is the worst. Fuji Pro 400HPicture of a horse on the beach with Pentacon Six and WTF frame spacing. The Pentacon Six is the worst. I mean, what is this? Okay some locks on a gate supposedly, but another Pentacon Six masterpiece, which would never correctly focus. Is the Pentacon Six good? No. Should you buy one? Yes. Looking good here! Oh, what? the frames are completely screwed up? Welcome to the Pentacon Six, but is there something in focus? Maybe a miracle. This was supposed to be the ruins on Jekyll Island.

A few more from the Rolleiflex white face test roll (w/@ditchell.bsky.social in there). Sort of remarkable this pawn-shop find actually works.
Film walker wondering if he will go with brute force or stealth in stealing a white face Rolleiflex. He is pondering this at a bar. He figures he would get six weeks in county max, probably less with no record and good behavior. It's worth it, he decides. Film walker with Peter Yorn t-shirt and Kiev stands in front of a former window that is now bricked up but distinct from the rest of the wall. Film walker poses for the last exposure on the roll in between a painted brick wall and giant fern in a barrel.
