Virgil has always been a part of the plan. When I first sat down with Marquis in New York, he pitched it from the jump: “…and then we bring in Static!” As an editor, his job is curation and protecting these characters, and the care and thought he’s shown for Virgil has seriously been inspiring.

I finished Everything Dead & Dying this morning and wow. @tatebrombal.bsky.social and @thatjacobphillips.bsky.social delivered one of the best stories in recent memory. Simultaneously beautiful and disturbing, heartwarming and heartwrenching, with an ending that, as a father, had me sobbing. Bravo!
