just had a dream I was batman which sounds cool as fuck but it was actually really scary bc even my unconscious brain seems to know I'd be really, really bad at being batman

to me finding out the killers aren't british was akin to learning as a kid that your parents' legal names aren't mum and dad

☆ jay ☆ @taromies.bsky.social · 12/06/2025

everything ive seen is either accusing others of being conservative or people accusing sabrina of being antifeminist, shes always been fun and cheeky and I totally see what she was going for, doesn't mean it couldnt have been done a little better to properly put across the vibe she likely wanted

000

☆ jay ☆ @taromies.bsky.social · 12/06/2025

idk why the internet is so opposed to level headed critique, like you can say the new sabrina carpenter album art reinforces some old fashioned sexist ideologies without saying she's single handedly setting back feminism decades, you can like and respect an artist and still criticise them like??

new jigsaw apprentice reveal

010

☆ jay ☆ @taromies.bsky.social · 27/05/2025

yes exactly! I love maintaining a physical media collection but there's so many great movies I probably would never have seen had they not been on tv at the right time, with live tv and channel surfing dying out this really does feel like the next best thing, shudder has a similar feature i love too

000

☆ jay ☆ @taromies.bsky.social · 27/05/2025

in retrospect this may not be that hot of a take actually lmao

010

☆ jay ☆ @taromies.bsky.social · 27/05/2025

my hot take is that i kinda love free with ads streaming services, obviously I hate having ads shoved down my throat as much as anyone else but they kinda feel like the best current companion to a physical media collection, it's like catching a movie on tv but with more options

110

☆ jay ☆ @taromies.bsky.social · 26/05/2025

was CONVINCED it was my thing for so long, turns out I just like drawing silly characters and hanging out with friends, we live and learn ig
