Apparently promoting AI on X of all places?? But yeah not sure what we can do at this point 🫠 bsky.app/profile/dais...

Tara O’Connor @taraocomics.bsky.social · 14h

Yeah I wish I had more time between just working constantly and being a mom now my online time has dwindled considerably but yeah it’s so depressing. 😭

Right? I’ve only just started to get close to where my following was on twitter before its demise and now it seems like everyone is looking elsewhere again. More unpaid labour to try and hope something somewhere takes off? 🫠

What do you mean the package going to “Belfast Northern Ireland Great Britain Ireland” is causing some confusion? 😵‍💫

Yeah this box got sent all over Ireland lol I fully expected to have to pay customs or something but yeah just delivered it to some undisclosed location, hopefully they have use for like 12 hardcover copies of my comics. 😅

It’s wild right? I don’t know how accurate they are to Newfoundland but they sounded like they were trying to do an Armagh accent lol

It’s definitely a UPS issue ‘cos my publisher confirmed my address before sending it out and then I get the shipping confirmation from UPS and it has Northern Ireland, GB and then IE underneath. So just throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks??

So I never got my books and now the publisher is sending another box—this would all be well and good except they put Great Britain on the shipping label. Belfast is not in Great Britain so I can only wonder where these books are going to end up now. 😅

Bullshit. Nothing that’s created through the means of theft of both creativity and human resources can ever be used ethically. There’s no such thing as “ethical AI use.”

A reminder for those at the back.

A redraw of the i nice panel from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, where Batman snaps a rifle in two over his knee.

He says "THIS is the weaponnof the enemy. We do not NEED it. We will not USE it."

I've replace the rifle with a plank of wood labelled "AI Slop"

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

When tech bros are like “shit was bad before ai, it doesn’t matter” like cool, so your logic is “let’s pour gasoline on this existing fire! Sure it was already on fire, who cares?” 🫠

AI tries to solves a problem no one asked for it to solve. “Tired of your creative job and raising your children? Let genAi do it so you can focus on life’s real joys: grunt work.” AI is its own worst enemy when it comes to public image ‘cos you have these gobshites outsourcing humanity.
