There are so many polling places in the US and it is unlikely they have the manpower or organization to cover them all. And each polling location already has trained poll workers. In addition states and counties prepare for different scenarios. There are laws and Feds don’t run elections. Just vote.

I am not sure this is true. While he was running the first time, it came out that he had chased, while carrying a gun, a black man who came into his neighborhood. It should have been a red flag but was ignored. I wonder if the story is still out there somewhere.

I follow an attorney that worked on human rights cases and is very bright and she believes it currently (not on Oct 7) satisfies the definition. I haven’t really studied it. That said what Netanyahu is doing now should not be condoned in my opinion. He is the Trump of Israel. We must speak out.

States control elections. He can try and declare but it’s not up to him. Blue States won’t comply. I don’t believe he has enough military/personnel to be at EVERY polling place to prevent or takeover the election based on his emergency.

Moraff and his partner “found” Platner and then got Katz involved. Moraff failed to properly vet and he himself had been kicked out of the campaign he also started due to inappropriate sexual behavior/sexual harassment. He’s not a good guy either and comes from Toys R Us money.

She needs to do more to get known. She seems great but my ME friends didn’t really know of her. Most people are saying the same names…not terrible, but her name doesn’t even come up. The others are already know. So she must do a lot to have a chance.

But lots of things came out, not just the final straw. And when people vet they ask around. Talk to ex girlfriends, etc., they may have found out somethings even if not all.

One of the two that recruited him (it wasn’t the Democratic Party, but a strategist) admitted to poor vetting and likely ignored some of the known baggage because he himself is a bad person. Banned from a prior campaign due to at least 3 allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior.

I don’t believe that’s 100 true. One of the issues here is he was found by a strategist that admits to having saved money on vetting and only knew some of the issues. Then they lied to people to get their endorsement. The person that “found” him and vetted him also has similar issues to Platner.

Nah, his life was “ruined” by his own ego for thinking none of this would come out and be an issue. And he doesn’t need help (his life likely isn’t ruined) since he not only comes from money, but his biggest customer for his oysters is his mom’s restaurant and he gets a military pension.

They have a plan but can’t move on it until he is out. A nominating convention with at least 600 delegates and some rules/qualifications for those candidates entering the convention. So far I think there are something like 4-6 interested candidates.

I live in MA and have never been asked. It is generally not required in MA. There are exceptions and if a poll workers ask for ID and you do not have it you can vote with a provisional ballot.

What about when States need their National Guard? Say to defend protesters or the midterm elections? Who gets to decide what’s unnecessary or wasteful? The current Congress? I just don’t want to push for anything that could bite us later. Is this just for Federal deployment?
