I've crocheted gifts for other people twice so far. The first one has been stuck in customs for almost a month now. The second one is too small to hold my mom's glasses so I had to add a row and now it's a bit deformed. It's like everytime I make an effort something gets twisted up

imo it's the most Reddit designed, generically engineered for rule 34 and horny/milk jokes like some Ganyu on steroids. Or maybe the most Hololive design because two of my mutuals have said she looks like a vtuber instead of a genshin

And before someone comes over, I'm perfectly cool with playing fanservicey waifus if I like them or find them fun. I was an Eula main on my secondary in early game. My favorite DPS in Natlan is fucking Chasca. I do plan to get Mizuki in September since she's anemo and I like her personality

Instead of a cute half shirtless guy in spandex tights with a shy demeanor, they went with THIS after an ongoing record of new women with questionable clothes. This is planned. Sure, you can justify it and like her just fine, but Varesa was engineered and it's a sum of parts giving a bad impression

Honestly, with the small amount we've gotten? This would've been a perfect chance to have the luchador character a male character and tweak the model to give it some visible muscles. The husbando players are getting fed up and this would've been great. (Normal) men would find a buff guy cool as well

Kiri🍃🃏 anemo fool @taotrooper.bsky.social · 17/02/2025

(If anything, I always knew the eating competitor character was gonna be thin as hell because this is Genshin and claymore wielders have the noodliest arms ever. The silhouette also told us she was a cow girl with thicker legs too from the get go, so my expectations were low)

Kiri🍃🃏 anemo fool @taotrooper.bsky.social · 17/02/2025

I'm not plus sized or Mexican or have melanin so I'm not gonna talk about representation here as it's not my place btw. Just talking about the fanservice and why I think this is getting so much backlash especially from female/genderqueer players

100

Kiri🍃🃏 anemo fool @taotrooper.bsky.social · 17/02/2025

To me (I don't hate it, from the neck up she's cute... but I don't like the outfit) it's the way they had to especifically make the luchadora a woman and give her that kind of attacks right after Mizuki's burst and Natlan female designs going ham. It's a continuation of a fixation on asses/thighs

100

Kiri🍃🃏 anemo fool @taotrooper.bsky.social · 17/02/2025

Of course that in lucha libre the wrestlers wear skimpy clothes and that's normal, and plenty of competitive eaters are slim, but I think people defending the design don't realize that the hate for Varesa's is a culmination of factors that bring up this kind of final result

hey for anyone who might want to actually own their kindle books instead of renting them, or who might be thinking of switching to kobo etc and will want to convert them to epubs, you now only have one week before amazon kills your ability to download its ebooks www.theverge.com/news/612898/...

theverge.com

Amazon’s killing a feature that let you download and backup Kindle books

It’s bad if you like to keep ebook backup copies.

Working on the next Ubuntu animal artwork since mid-January. It is created, like Oracular Oriole, with Krita & Blender. As always every inch/mm is digitally hand-drawn. If you want to support the finalization: 🌟 shop.sylvia-ritter.com 💌 patreon.com/sylviaritter 💚 www.paypal.com/donate?token...

Oracular Oriole - an oracle bird reading prophecies from matcha tea (milk foam in the shape of an open eye) with the inscriptions on the cup "Know thyself" a Greek maxim referencing the oracle of Delphi. Oracular Oriole has great taste and proudly wears its sacred matcha brush as a hat. A cozy atmosphere adds to the magic, candles, and bowls filled with matcha/autumn leaves, spices like cinnamon, anise stars, vanilla pods, pumpkin/matcha powder, its favorite orange/lemon/citrus zest, and blueberries can be seen, too. In the front, two orioles are visiting this magical place none of them look like the other. They are much smaller than the mystical Oriole in the center of attention and are here to receive their reading. The sand on the floor forms lots of circles, a bit like a zen garden. Some sand routes seem to have moved a teapot to the scenery. These circular patterns also appear in the background but are colorful seagrass decoration. Electric pulses and colorful light show how far the supernatural work is at its current state. What will the future hold for the Orioles? Let's hope only the best :). https://www.deviantart.com/sylviaritter/art/Oracular-Oriole-1107736015

I love cat pokemon

Doodles of various cat pokemon. From top left, clockwise:

Meowth, a cat sitting in a loaf position and you can't see it's legs. It's a light tan with brown markings, mischievous expression, and a big gold coin on its forehead.

Trubbish, a green garbage bag pokemon with arms made of trash leaking out of the bag. It has a cat-like expression and one arm looks like a curled paw. Trubbish was included in an official pokemon art piece of cat pokemon, so there is a running joke that Trubbish is actually a cat.

Litten, looking spooked and staring over to the right. It's a black cat with red markings and it's tail is standing straight up with fluff at the end of the tail standing on end.

Sprigatito, a fluffy green cat with big pink eyes and huge dilated pupils. There is catnip on its face and the ground in front of it and its tongue is sticking out.

Skitty, a pink and yellow cat running after and playing with a ball of yarn. It has a big pink bulb shape on its tail with what appears to be three yellow pins sticking out.

In the center, there is Espurr, a light grey cat pokemon. It's standing on its two back feet and looking up with big eyes. It has folded ears. It has two tiny shine dots directly in the center of its big eyes, making it look a bit like a creepy small child staring up at you, but still cute.
