I'm in a workshop today on Brene Brown's Daring Way. Currently talking about self-compassion and self-kindness - including that we are often our own harshest critics. Today I also got this message from a friend. I want this version of me in my own head!

I've made LOTS of travel mistakes, but this is a new one for me... My parents arrived at the airport after a vacation to find the destination wasn't what they expected! Instead of a major city nearby, where they left their car, they actually booked a direct flight to their hometown. Oops!

Making this shift in my approach to managing emotions changed my life. But I couldn't do it well until I was diagnosed #actuallyautistic and started giving myself the accommodations I needed to feel safe and at peace.

Fascinating new research on the nature of migraines! I've had migraines for 35 years (since I was 8). I've tried many treatments over the years. I currently use a cocktail of meds to prevent & manage attacks. Thankful we're growing our understanding of what this debilitating condition actually IS.

Yesterday I had a large mole burned off my neck. It was always there but in the last 10 yrs slowly started to change, protruding and less attached to the skin. I had it regularly checked and there were no signs of melanoma, but it got quite irritating so my doctor removed it for me.

I'm probably most well known as the author of Misunderstood: The Impact of Growing Up Overseas in the 21st Century. Released in 2016, in Misunderstand I draw on 270 interviews with TCKs from diverse backgrounds and a survey of 750+ Adult TCKs to share how #TCKs experience international childhoods.
