Scott fought to protect sacred sites of local Tribes. Showed up where ever someone needed him. From protests to friends. He was there if you needed him. Fluent in Welsh and Spanish. Read way too many books from the library. Now I hope his spirit continues in every "f*ck you" we give to fascism.

If you sign up all you will have to do is leave a kind comment on someone's social media who is experiencing an online harassment campaign. I think this is a great idea. If people can mobilize to spread hate then others can unite to spread kindness. All it takes is to comment.

Timnit Gebru was fired from Google for contributing to the paper "On the Dangers of Stochastic Parrots: Can Language Models Be Too Big?" in 2021. Her work is a must read to understand how big tech AI is the biggest con from Silicon Valley. Check out her book Deep Unlearning.

Basically if you buy a book scan and shred it and train your AI model it's not violating copyright because you bought it according to the judge. If they are going to do this crap the scanned books should be online for free for everyone. Not in a hallucinating AI model behind a paywall.

Who would of though Amazon the company that put local bookstores out of business would be part of the largest digital book burning. Also WTF was that judges ruling "training AI on books is fair use under copyright law" which started this whole scan and shred tactic from AI companies.

Have so many stories to tell about this guy. What I remember most is his dry wit. Ability to point out inaccuracies in logical thinking and somehow spinning that into a joke. How he read books he didn't agree with to talk about them critically. He was a thinker, an activist, a teacher and friend.
