Last Sunday, we observed the flaring source Cyg X-3 with VLBI between the amateur radio telescopes in Stockert and Dwingeloo. We had to observe low above the horizon (2˚) making calibration hard, but it's still quite bright - a few Jansky, as was noted in Astronomer's Telegram 18003 on 24 August.
Graph showing a strong correlation on Cygnus X-3 between Dwingeloo - Stockert, 2026-08-30, 120 seconds integration time. On an offset of 0 seconds, the correlation magnitude is 1500 (uncalibrated).

Back in 2019 we, as radio amateurs, used an amateur radio payload with a camera on board the Chinese DWLSP-B lunar satellite to take a similar picture of the July 2nd eclipse. Our initial posts on twitter are gone, but a write up is available at destevez.net/2019/07/resu...

#globalmeteornetwork

The Tianwen-2 spacecraft seems to have performed another manoeuvre earlier today (22 June). These observations are done by @amsat-dl.org with the 20m dish in Bochum.
Graph titled "Doppler residual w.r.t. Kamo'oalewa". Horizontal axis shows 7 June to 23 June, vertical axis ranges from -250 to 1500 Hz. Blue dots show periods where frequency was tracked by the AMSAT-DL Bochum dish. Three jumps in frequency are visible: 11 June, 14 June and 22 June.

On the occasion of the @unesco.org International Day of Light, we created a 'light painting' using the Dwingeloo Telescope by mounting a light bulb at the focus for half an hour. #lightday2025 @idlofficial.bsky.social

A bit late, but here is some additional analysis of the Earth-Venus-Earth radar experiments with @radiotelescoop.bsky.social from March 22nd, 2025. It takes the 4 recordings at the Dwingeloo and Stockert telescopes and searches in Doppler frequency and Doppler rates for the radar reflections.

We used the historic Dwingeloo telescope to bounce a signal off the surface of Venus, and receive its echo! This marks only the second time that amateurs have achieved an 'EVE' (Earth-Venus-Earth) bounce. Venus was about 40 million kilometers from Earth. www.camras.nl/en/blog/2025...
Graphs showing EVE detections: 5.4 sigma for Dwingeloo-Dwingeloo, 8.5 sigma for Dwingeloo-Stockert, 9.2 sigma for combined Dwingeloo/Stockert
