Gen 9 Best: Nothing beats that sense of accomplishment when tossing your Pokemon out in walk-around mode after you've carried it from Emerald. Worst: Just like Gen 8, I hate doing the Palde tournament. The cut scenes before and during battle drag, and I wish you could skip terastilzation sequence.

Gen 8: SWSH Best: Best character models. I still love the fashion in this game. Trees and backgrounds aside, these are the best HUMAN models in the franchise, the best translation of Sugimori's designs to 3D. Worst: This is the worst league, hands down. But it's also the shortest so that helps.

Gen 7: SM/USUM Best: They really made Alola feel like a unique world. Also the Pokepelago is a fun thing to return to each time Worst: Ugly. The worst character models of all. Horrible clothes, horrible face. This game looks like it was designed for the Wii U and crammed onto the 3DS last minute.

Gen 6: XY/ORAS Best: Playing on the 3DS is more comfortable than the GBA or the DS. Also the girl fashion is cute! Worst: The sad reminder that the models that were created in this generation have been the models for pokemon ever since. Gamefreak officially stopped trying last generation.

Gen 5: BW/2 Best: This has the best transfer mini game between generations Worst: There's nothing to do here once the story and post game stuff is beaten. No ribbons to collect, so my pokemon transfer journey always uses White 2 as just a switching point to 3D. And the dream world shut down.

Gen 4: DPPT/HGSS Best: The sheer amount of stuff to do in these games that isn't the main quest. The Post games are truly the best and most diverse, even if sometimes they're a little grindy. Worst: Mechanically these games have some jank, especially Platinum. Overall just run very slow.

Gen 3: RSE/FRLG Best: Pure Nostalgia. There's nothing else to it. This is just returning to High School Worst: you are playing the most rudimentary versions of pokemon at this point. Also Emerald hadn't figured out how to cap pokemon levels for the tower so if you over leveled, screw you try again

Now that I've finished moving the last of my pokemon from Gen 3 to 9, here's my best and worst aspects of each game, in regard to the transfer process. This is not about the game as a whole, it's just about how I feel about them as I pass pokemon through them and do ribbons and such. (A thread)

We are finally in! After 2 months of getting work done, and moving things myself in my little Honda, and then paying people to move the big stuff, AND FINALLY, getting internet hooked up...I'm here. I'm all moved in. I am finally ready to return to life as normal. In a new place.

My move is basically done...in the sense that all the stuff from my apartment is moved to my new house. And some of it is unpacked. I just have no internet there. And my dryer doesn't work. Good thing I'm stuck with this apartment for 4 more months so I have an "office"

I did a derpy thing. -Left my computer at my old apartment because I still have some time on the lease, and the wifi won't be on in my new place until october -Left my tablet here at the apartment so I can draw -packed my tablet with the rest of my "desk stuff" and sent it to the new place. uh oh.

Spent a good chunk of the day packing up the rest of the stuff I can manage on my own, as in it can fit in my Honda. Tomorrow I finally do the big stuff with movers. There isn't going to be internet in my new place for a little while longer though so things will be a bit quiet a little longer.

My Gallbladder removal last year took 6 months from initial assessment to removal. 3 months of that was waiting for my surgery. I called the movers today (wednesday) and they said "We can move you on Sunday. When I got the floors done, it was also like 4 day turnaround. My Fridge took a week.

I'm currently playing HeartGold on an original DS. You can take my physical cartridges from my cold dead hands. Retro games are easy to come by. You can emulate old stuff. As long as my old carts work, I don't need anything new. Ever.

Having never played a single Metroid game, I have no attachment to Samus' character or portrayals. As an outside observer, this looks like that edgy episode that every hero eventually gets, like when Sonic turned into a WereHog. Or Dark Deku I'm glad to see the fanbase seems happy with it though.

I have that thing where I rehearse how I'll handle conversations and situations in my head, except they're things that will never actually happen. This does nothing to prepare me for the situations that actually happen, like when the cashier implies I'm fat, and I just say "uh...sure" and leave.

Never say never. I need to do a year end push and clear the backlog. I just keep doodling new things!

The actual inciting incident was obtaining some "less than high quality" subtitled anime back in college and thinking "I could just learn Japanese" because that would have been easier than finding another torrent. I mean....finding another legitimate and higher quality source.

Tip 1: Just draw. Draw what you like, draw what's popular. Just draw Tip 2: Learn as you go. Find the way you can learn that's fun. But just draw Tip 3: (general art tip) study forms There's plenty of people posting themselves in diapers here, use them to learn the basics. Then adapt how you wish

I think they all have their place, and I definitely have come to love the occasional 'diaper gremlin" who is just a proud crinkle tush who has zero shame. But my favorite is the huffy "independent" type that insist they don't need diapers, but caves under the slightest stern words.

I have always preferred the Classical slice of life model, more "problem of the week" than Monster. I think it lead to more creativity when the plots were about things other than fighting stuff.
