Talos @talos.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Yeah, I put off watching that one and then lost any motivation with how I heard things went. For me it was the the Ronald D. Moore Battle Star Galactica. Because of this show, I will often wait for a TV show to run it's course and only pick it up if it can stick the landing (see above). 120

Talos @talos.bsky.social · 28/09/2026We formulate our gas a little differently, which doesn't help the greenhouse gases, but can clean it up slightly in other ways. What this means though is we have our own refineries, which leads to somewhat higher costs on top of the tax. 020
Talos @talos.bsky.social · 27/09/2026The funny thing is that the big special screen now is IMAX, which is 1.43, which is only just slightly wider then 4:3. But yeah, I still think I prefer 16:9. IMAX is for a very particular size and shape of room. 020
Talos @talos.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Ugh, went to check on an email in gmail that I had thought I had written a reply to but hadn't. So opened it up and thought "oh, there is a draft here, just didn't hit send". Only to realize that that wasn't a draft but some AI auto reply I'd just sent out. I am so embarrassed. 040

Though, who knows how long it will be before they are widely available for the people who miss the first per-order. I'm looking at you steam controller. 220

Talos @talos.bsky.social · 09/09/2026FWA (and many) are bigger now then the San Diego Comic-Con was when they opened a full-time office in the early 90s. Of course, they were also running an industry trade show at the time (Expo). A physical office is less necessary today, but maybe not less need for a full time position. 000

Talos @talos.bsky.social · 14/08/2026It is interesting that both B5 (Warner Brothers) and MythBusters (Discovery) are uploading their whole shows to the internet this month. I wonder if this has something do do with the acquisition. 010
Talos @talos.bsky.social · 14/08/2026I have a memory of the first season of Babylon 5 as being nigh unwatchable. But now that they are officially releasing all the episodes to YouTutbe, you know what? It's OK. Sure, the effects are dated, the acting daytime soap worthy, but, I'm engaged and looking forward to each episode. 320
