All the games I beat/100% completed for the first time in #2024 I guess the theme of the year was "How have I not already beaten this", especially since so many of these games are such 'me' games. (especially DS3, the Oracle games and TTYD) I'll give further details below:

Decided to try this trend myself, and also include a version of my sprite with modern colors (even though I prefer the old palette for this particular version of Peach) It didn't really come out too crazy unique, but it was quick and fun. #SuperMarioBros #pixelart

Conservatives need a version of this where communists, jews, trade unionists, and catholics are replaced by abortionists, trans people, sex workers, and democrats.

"THEY CAME FIRST for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

THEN THEY CAME for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

THEN THEY CAME for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

THEN THEY CAME for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant

THEN THEY CAME for me,
and by that time no one was left to speak up."

Martin Niemoeller
Lutheran Pastor

This statement, attributed to Pastor Niemoeller, has become a legendary expression of the lesson of the Holocaust. Ironically, Niemoeller had delivered antisemitic sermons early in the Nazi regime. He later opposed Hiter and was sent to a concentration camp.
