I won @hinatayuri.bsky.social's giveaway for a full body illustration- I'm excited because this is the first full artwork of my 2.0 design, so I had to hit you with the Hakari Dance. Come at me, scallywags! Check 'em out at vgen.co/hinatayuri! #TaiyzArt

@taiyz.bsky.social the Sunshower Tiger taunting the viewer with the Hakari Dance meme as if to say "come at me". Full body "anime illustration" by @hinatayuri.bsky.social.

I think it's interesting how captions are kind of considered an expectation of short-form content now when the primary audience of those videos can barely read. 🤔

The discourse over the Star Fox 64 remake's character designs is giving Legend of "Cel-da" vibes. This is why many games are bland these days, people don't want artists to be creative. I see this as a partial realization of the muppet concept from the original Star Fox boxart.

I rewatched the first Sonic movie recently, I never realized how much Sonic vs Robotnik and Agent Stone's antics feel like Kevin McCallister vs Harry and Marv in Home Alone. Sonic's childlike antics in that first movie especially remind me of Kevin partying on his own.

I love when people get so absorbed in their special interest they don't realize how out of pocket the lingo is: WHAT DO YOU MEAN we're calling people "white creatures" now!?

Whenever I accidentally click YouTube's Gaming category I can't help but be disturbed how ad revenue has incentivized creators to pander to children. I know I'm being an old man thinking of "the good ol' days" of role models in Blue's Clues and Bill Nye the Science Guy...

They should add Yuji Naka to Sonic Racing CrossWorlds but he permanently has Ring Thief attached to his gadget plate.

I had this realization recently, that platformer battle royales like Fall Guys and Sonic Rumble are basically Mario Party without the board game.

I think it's fascinating that Capcom never really went back to the Attaché Case feature from RE4 in future Resident Evil games. "Inventory Tetris" is an incredibly satisfying mechanic that indie developers have literally made entire games around.

I feel like everybody's excited that Sonic Racing Crossworlds might be better than Mario Kart World, but nobody's talking about how Sega's basically making Super Kart Bros. and that's still kinda wild to think about.

Gamer moment, managed to reach Legend rank within the first week of Faaast Penguin's third season. I'm aiming to land in the top 100 by the end of the season and be immortalized on the leaderboard, so I wanted to grind early in case I get busy. About 1/4 of the way to last season's lowest score!

Something else I wish I could better represent is my love for DRPGs or Dungeon Crawlers, in particular Etrian Odyssey and other JRPGs that let you design your own party (especially first-person ones.) My biggest hope right now is to have an L2D model inspired by Yuji Himukai's shading style.
