Next week Superleague will have its 4th different champion in 5 years, 2 other clubs having lost the final without winning one. 2 other clubs have been in the cup final in that period. Poured through some of North East Wales’ most treacherous roads to get to Ruthin v Penrhyncoch in Cymru North. Always pleasant although people insist on standing in front of the seats. A 2-0 Ruthin win that should have been more.

While I wouldn’t say a point was deserved out of that, it was about the first Bellamy game against a decent team, albeit one that is less than the sum of its parts, where there wasn’t an obligatory half an hour of getting absolutely smashed to bits and grimly trying to cling on. Not too bad.

A blustery evening at Airbus, as they swept aside Flint 4-1 in Cymru Premier. Ten games in, Flint one of four teams without a win between them, and being 2 down here in 12 minutes left them in a pickle before they got going. You might have had Airbus down as a struggler but they’re well clear.

Further thoughts on #wxmafc women in Cardiff: Never in doubt even before the 4th. Sallaway is a super player; try to mug Villa off. Barker’s screamer is the 1st goal of its kind to not get insecure men in the comments saying that it’s shit. Sometimes keeping it simple is fine - didn’t always happen

First foray into Cymru Premier tonight. A basement battle between Holywell & Trefelin, both needed a win, neither got it. Trefelin goal a cross that went in, Holywell’s a corner that did. Trefelin denied nailed on last minute penalty, enough to inspire a South Walian shout of “corrrrrupt!”

Just rubs it in what a frightful waste it was to give Celtic a charity penalty in the penultimate game and pinch Hearts’ title off them. They obviously wouldn’t have done any better but at least it would have been different.
