New Art! Spectember 2026 Day 2 - Incredibly Deadly Viper Azesian Treegator for The Hyne's Inheritance #speculativeevolution #specbio #spectember #spectember2026

Day 2: Incredibly Deadly Viper

For The Hyne's Inheritance

Alligators were brought to the agricultural world of Demeter to satisfy offworld desires for genuine leather. A small number of farms were established along Arion's southernmost coast to satisfy the need. When human occupation of Demeter ended abruptly, these alligators were free to expand and hunt the countless herds of seemingly helpless cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, and goats. For the first few million years of Demeter's wilderness, the alligator was the apex predator, diversifying into several giant species found on land, freshwater, and even at sea.

But as the ecosystems developed, advanced, and shifted, new challengers arose to challenge the alligators dominion, forcing them into new, less noticable niches. The treegators are a widespread family of small to medium sized scansorial predators. This 5ft long species is confined to the jungles of the Azesia peninsula of Arion's far east. Long, strong limbs, recurved claws, and a slender tail allow them to scamper through the understory after birds, snakes, lizards, rodents, and climbing goats. They are solitary and lay their eggs within tree hollows.

Your art has a vibe that I think would work perfectly fine with anthro, in my opinion. I've been part of this community for over 30 years and have seen many artists evolve into it ^^ Like, my tattooist never did anthro before, but as a gift, she did these two amazing pieces for me

Here they are!! I hope I did them justice, this one was very fun to line, thank you for submitting them! Extra thoughts in the alt text if you’re interested When I finish all 5 of these I’m going to post them together if that’s okay

This one was fun and quick to do, I like how the face came out

The arms and getting them to look right were probably the hardest part, it’s always fun to have a challenge

I really like the face on this

The hair and the goggles were awkward to work out, I think this looks good as long as you don’t think too hard lol

Anyways time for the next one, thank you for submitting them!
