My comic, Forward, is largely about AIs, roughly 150 years in the future, being recognized as people. The average human in my comic is resistant and even hostile to the idea of AI personhood/rights, and, in canon, it's because of the effects of "AI" a century ago.

Here, have some info about Wanda Wix's personal assistant, Gredd. (Loredump in alt text.)

Realities all reinforce each other through assertion - every work of fiction, from 1+1=3 to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is real somewhere to some extent, and the more intersecting descriptions of the same world there are, the more robust that world's continuity is. (This includes "multiverses", which are themselves a form of universe, but that's a whole other rant.)
Some dimensions are sub-worlds of other, more robust worlds - afterlives are often like this, there are lots of stories ABOUT heaven but few stories that take place IN heaven. Gredd is from a straddle sub-world - it's a dimension of elemental EVIL to one world and a dimension of elemental NATURE to another world. Accordingly, Gredd is not from a species, per se, but is a manifestation of both "evil" and "nature" energies, which is why he looks like a cross between a satyr and a demon.
Like all sapient beings, however, Gredd had the ability to reject his origins and elemental nature, and he fully embraces both hypercivilization and stringently ethical behaviour. (Yes, as those squared-off sides imply, he shaves his face.)
When he encountered a Wandafunk item, he was fascinated with not only its design, but by the broader design principles that led to its creation, and he went through a great deal of trouble to seek out Wanda and apply to work for her - she was impressed by his drive, he's a real go-getter.
Gredd doesn't have a mind for magitech design (or the libido to be a test subject), but he believes in Wandafunk's mission and is happy to handle administrative tasks and typical assistant duties, and will often jump in to take over things that aren't in his job description if he sees a task that needs doing.
He's a little buttoned down by Wanda's standards, but all things are relative. Like Wanda, you'll usually see him with goggles and a lab coat when he's on the job, though unlike Wanda, he leaves the sleeves on.

Yes, Gredd is Gredd's only name, no surname or honorific. He's cisgender he/him, but if you "they" him he wouldn't particularly care.
You might notice Gredd is wearing a different Pride pin than Wanda does - she's PANsexual (gender doesn't matter) and he's OMNIsexual (attracted to all genders, but gender DOES matter), which is the sort of distinction that's important in an environment like Wandafunk Technologies.
Even when he's not in a lab environment, Gredd often wears protection on his horns (because they're sharp) and on the tip of his tail (because it has a poisoned barb on it). You don't see him below the waist in either of these shots, but he is digitigrade and has pointy cloven hooves that are, likewise, in protective footwear.
Although Wanda has no problem boinking coworkers in the name of science (or just 'cause), Gredd feels it would be unprofessional, and keeps his pants on when he's on the job. He and Wanda have never gotten it on, and although he finds her very attractive, he's even more fascinated by her unconventional genius, her aggressively ethical stances, and her passionately independent spirit.
Although he'd likely do his job for free, he is generously compensated, and because he works so closely with the owner, he's one of the few employees of Wandafunk Technologies that is not a part of one of its unions or subcommittees. (Although Wandafunk is solely owned by its founder, she insisted on her employees being able to collectively bargain from its inception, and there are multiple overlapping unions that cover its research, manufacturing, and distribution departments - it's complicated, and that's yet another whole rant.)
While Gredd respects environmentalism, he's not really a naturey person, and hasn't returned to his home dimension since leaving it. He likes coffee with complex flavours, movies with self-contained plotlines, and punctuality.
His dick is normal.
