It’s been a week. One of my best friends passing at the start made things difficult to get through, but having friends overnight (while their cat was at a nearby vet) helped get me into better spirits. Just one more shift tonight to get through before some much needed time off.

Talk to the people you love often. Thought I had plenty of time to reconnect with my childhood friend, but now he’s gone. Reach out, connect, and make memories with those you care about. Nothing in life is guaranteed & anything can change in an instant.

Just before bedtime a moment ago, I found out a close childhood friend of mine died from his lifelong struggles with alcoholism. Had no idea things were so bad, I’m devastated to know he’s gone. RIP bud, I feel like shit for not being able to be there for you in person…

Got an absolute steal on an MSI OLED monitor (the one that’s on in the photo) from my roommate liquidating his setup. Happy to have a high refresh rate screen to keep track of the chaos at work & competitive gaming. A literal game changer for my office setup <3

Bless; my co-worker has me completely covered for MFF (6 days of pure OT pay for him), and despite not winning the room lottery, I have 2-3 room options on standby. Needless to say, I’ll be seeing a lot of y’all this December for my 5th MFF in a row. Very excited <3

Taking the WRX in for a final full inspection at the dealership before the warranty expires. The air compressor sounds a bit wonky, figured it’s now or never to get that taken care of >>;

Either tonight at work (if it’s slow enough) or tomorrow afternoon, I’ll be taking everything out of the old PC case and putting it into a case with MUCH better airflow and AIO setup configurations. Got a steal on a NZXT H5 Flow the other day, should improve temps drastically <3

Ngl, today’s Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Direct was fire. The orchestral opening, OOT Remake keynote, & the sick looking Zelda 40th Edition Switch 2 were among my highlights. Happy to see a series I grew up with get so much love in the current gaming hellscape <3

Roasting from the heat on a skydeck in Fort Collins, but feeling good. After being cooped up at home for a few days from the recent cold, it’s really nice to socialize and be out in public again ^^

Alive, but not feeling 100%, I caught a cold from either the con or the movie festival, but possibly from overwhelming myself the last few weeks too. Either way, I’ll be fine, just MIA for another day or two. At least I work from home and tonight’s my last shift of the week <3

DenFur this year was amazing, though I bit off more than I could chew volunteering (worth it, the night market was a huge success). Had a blast regardless, possibly the best DenFur yet! It was great seeing so many friends, wish I stayed 1 more night to hang out a bit longer ;3;

Attended the last day of the Silent Film Festival at the historic Park Theater in Estes Park today. Aside from modern projection, it’s the most authentic silent film experience one could possibly have. Scott’s talents on the piano were incredible to witness; 10/10 🎹 🎥

✨🐺 How to find me at DenFur 2026 🐺✨ This year I’ll be about 50/50 with leisure & volunteering, particularly with the FoxTrot & Night Market events. Excited to see everyone soon, heading out to Denver as soon as my graveyard shift ends. See y’all in the afternoon 🐺❤️

Dropping off my roommate in Denver, then getting a haircut, washing the car, then one more shift tonight before I too head out to DenFur on Friday morning. So excited, got a feeling this will be the best year yet for the con ^^

Happy “Escaping PS3 ‘Jail’ Day” MGS4! Really happy to see so many folks experience this gem for the first time online <3 18 years since its original launch, quite the showcase of the PS3’s capabilities at the time. Blew my mind when I played it for the 1st time at my cousin’s in ‘09 📦✨

Really happy to see everyone have fun at Megaplex, all the content has me pumped for DenFur coming up this weekend. It’ll be a bit of a “work-cation” as I’ll be doing a lot of volunteering, but it’ll be nice to break up the typical work week with a few days in downtown Denver ^^

Update: After tweaking settings & playing around with some AAA games + benchmarks this month, it’s about 3x’s the processing power of my previous build. Hoping to eventually get back into streaming with the extra power, also happy to say I eventually got all RBG to function!

Between cat-sitting this weekend & covering 2 shifts for about 22 hours of overtime pay, I’m making bank this week off. It’s not often the other half of my team goes on vacation, so I’ll gladly take any overtime I can get my paws on. Fantastic timing with DenFur this weekend <3

Devastated to hear my former roommate, Hawk, an elder Lab, will be put down tomorrow due to health complications. Raced down to visit before work, having a pint in the backyard one last time together. Love you Hawk, you’re a real one who helped me get through some incredibly difficult times.

I’ve been a Colorado resident for 3 years today! Despite the initial arrival being ROUGH b/c of my ex, I’ve made many friends & attended awesome events throughout my time here. It’s been difficult to be away from home for so long, but I’ve found my place amongst the Rockies <3

As of today, my medical debt has been completely paid off. Now I can start supercharging the payments on other remaining debts to be debt-free at some point in 2027. Given historical trends in times like these, I don’t want to be left “holding the bag” when things get worse.

To import CD’s to the Apple Music app, you have to download the old iTunes to rip it, then you have to move the files from “Audiobooks” to “Music” before searching for the files in AM to import. I miss it when the old iTunes just worked, it’s hell trying to import old media now.

Had Paprika on in the background at work, watching for the first time, and I was thrilled to see the Roman Holiday reference in particular, among the litany of other ones. Also the inspiration of Inception! Kinda wild I slept on this movie for so long, it’s awesome <3

The upgrade is done ❤️ Only hiccup with the build is the AIO RGB isn’t working, but not a dealbreaker. Huge thanks to my roommate for helping with the AIO installation, never done one before! From Ryzen 9 3900x + RTX 2080S to Ryzen 7 5800x3D + RTX 5080 ✨

Burnt out on arc-fault circuit interrupters, we’re STILL having trips even after we’ve had all of our electronics running for hours at a time. Doesn’t help all the furniture is in the rooms now, so the plugs will be harder to access. It’s an oddly specific, but INCREDIBLY annoying problem.

Absolutely exhausted from moving, esp with the increased temperature in the upstairs spaces lately, but happy to say after 2 years I can finally host friends/mutuals up in north Colorado again! A place to crash and a personal wolf chauffeur in a WRX ain’t a bad deal for a visit to the Rockies ✨

Remember what I said a bit ago about open box deals? While getting the Ryzen 7 5800x3D CPU at Micro Center, managed to find a 5080 open box for $300 off MSRP. Was originally going to wait until later in the year to get a GPU, but the opportunity presented itself. Very excited!

2nd time being summoned for jury duty! Court date is set towards the end of a work week & it would be reckless of me to even try functioning in society after an overnight shift, yet alone participating in a jury of my peers. But sure, why not? Just need to schedule for a later date.

Last night of 11 shifts in a row! Not a fan of moving while working an extended shift, but the paycheck is going to be absolutely massive & greatly needed with DenFur coming up. Happy to see a light at the end of the tunnel, very eager to get the rest of the stuff moved into the new place asap!

As Sat arrives, the final day of moving, I’m slowly realizing…there isn’t going to be much to move then because of how proactive I’ve been on getting things from point A to B in-between working 11 nights. It’s become routine; quite a lovely drive in the WRX, even fully loaded 📦 ✨

Moving plans fell through today, so I’m resting up and recovering. Been going back and forward to the new place plus working every night since last Sunday, and still have four more shifts ahead of me. Next weekend I’ll completely be moved out though, it’s almost over ^^

I love eBay. Got a Corsair Nautilus 240 RS ARGB, normally $100, for $35 due to “cosmetic damage.” Damage was only on the exterior box, the components inside are untouched & flawless. I’ve saved thousands on electronics buying this way, rarely is it a gamble with buyer protections <3

Was hoping to move in sooner, but discovered today there’s not enough wattage on the breaker to my room to even support 2 TV’s + a computer without the breaker blowing from overheating. A huge misstep in an otherwise decent place, anxious if this can be resolved as I WFH.

House keys acquired, moving stuff out of storage tomorrow…and now I’m going to be on the “broke diet” for the rest of the month. Happy to secure a place to live, but had to drain all my savings to make it happen. I’ll be ok, but it’ll be rough financially for a while.

Dreading the moving process over the next 2-3 weeks. Only getting 3 days off of work until the 24th & unloading storage is going to be toasty in this heat. My mental health will be so much better once this is over tho, it’s been a while since I’ve lived with like-minded furries.

5 years with the ‘21 WRX Grateful I took a chance with the Subaru platform after a series of lemons. It’s made me a believer in manual & given me invaluable confidence in the worst driving conditions. Here’s to many more years together, I couldn’t have asked for a better ride ❤️✨
