Every time Ryan leaves on a work trip, some disaster happens. Last time, our hot water line sprung a leak, this time our RO system exploded and the valve that shuts off its no longer works. This concoction is the only solution that allows me to keep the whole house water on. In Clamps We Trust.

BIRB WATCH: Day 3 Guyssssss loooook! Mom is back in her nest singing. Last night it got breezy and the shade cloth was flapping out. I was like NOPE and tied some support strings. Woke up to some strong gusts of wind that would have been bad.

There’s these two finches who built a nest right outside our back door in the rolled up shade cloth we use in the summer. I saw the female shaking her butt over the nest yesterday and this morning she was being fed by the male (crappy photo taken from inside). She flew off so I took a peek and…. 🥹

Welp. Now I know why we never get crab apples. I’m totally fine with the squirrels eating the flowers. Crab apples are so messy when they start to drop and squirrels munching on flowers is the cutest thing ever. Hey lil guy, there’s a bee bath in the back if you get thirsty.

Update: the bee bath is working! I moved it under our peach tree that’s going crazy with flowers. We’ve also had a squirrel take a drink and a robin take a bath. Yay! 😀

Another lil bee drinking. The penny is there because copper is a natural fungicide which helps keep the water clean. It’s got to be a clean penny from before 1982. You can clean them with SCIENCE (salt and vinegar).

Sheesh, do you have to be so dramatic? It was just a little wind storm. Ok so it was like 50 mph wind gusts and 100 lbs of concrete weighing him down, but still. You’re going be ok lil buddy.

Our 15 foot scarecrow we never took down from Halloween being over the top dramatic after getting knocked over in the wind.
